Cute common area, and even though our room was the garden view we still had a little window looking out into the ocean - so beautiful. The beach is just a few steps down and you feel like you have the beach all to yourself. So serene.

The bed wasn't soft enough for my wife but I was ok with it. The restaurant closes at 8 PM which was too early for us.

It was a good location if you rent a motorcycle, which by the way you can rent from the resort itself. The staff is super nice and super helpful. Great sunset and beach for swimming. The resort provided free transportation to the new year party, which was very generous of them.

Nothing really. Everything was good. Just FYI, own scooter/motorbike is beneficial (distance from town/shops etc) in this place, not necessary but beneficial.

Good place! Amazing views at the bungalow and from the restaurant. Nice small own beach. Friendly staff. Peacefull and quiet area and perfect for relaxing.

The beds are super hard.. Definitely need another small step on the lounge deck, not easy to get down.

The food and drimks was good an well priced within typical Thai pricing, with no crazy touristy high prices. Although the staffs English was a little limited, they were super nice, helpful and kind. Great view.

Rooms were shabby but clean. No fridge in room. Mattress were old and too soft and "used". Bad service and drinks at the restaurant. Overall there is better options near by.

The shower head is fixed, you cannot adjust the handle, you have to spray the whole bathroom to shower 😂 mattress was a bit hard. We got what we paid for, but overall chill for a quick stop

the bungalows could be a bit brighter inside and had a good few bugs. The location is great for relaxing but you will need a scooter/ taxi to go into the town.

Really friendly staff who were very helpful ! The resort is right on the beach and is really relaxing. There is a bar with the perfect view for the sunset.

general maintenance is bad the property is not clean, it would have been nice to know in advance that the restaurant would be under construction meaning that for our 10 night stay we were not able to have dinner there wifi was unreliable

The communal area/ restaurant was under construction so very loud sawing precluded being able to enjoy a drink or meal there during working hours. Also, I woke one night to find 7 cockroaches in my room / bathroom. They had come in through the hole for the drain in the bathroom. I don't think this problem is specific to Golden Beach but it kind of ruined my stay because I have a phobia of cockroaches.

My room was really on the beach front only 5 meters and I could swim and see the sunset from my bed in room . The staff was very friendly and they make great cocktails

WiFi was not very stable and did not always work properly from the bungalow, which was my main issue as I needed to work. But I was able to do so in the restaurant when needed. The property was not super well taken care of, as there was some rubbish a bit everywhere. However, this may have been related to the weather, as there were strong winds all through my stay and maybe also to some tourists not being super clean! ;-)

The bungalow was located right on the beach... what a stunning view! Sitting, reading and even working on the porch or in the restaurant was relaxing. I was able to check in a bit early, and I was offered to be driven to the pier upon departure for a cheaper price than a taxi ride, which was convenient, and I really appreciated it. Everyone was friendly and helpful, although discreet. The bungalow itself was very basic with the minimum furniture, the bathroom was small but clean and redone. There were indeed some insects as mentioned in other comments - a mosquito net would have been nice, but fortunately I had my own. I knew what I was booking so nothing came as a surprise, and this was the kind of experience I was looking for. It was nice getting back to what matters: simplicity! I liked the pad thai and scrambled eggs, and could easily walk to a few nice cafes and thai restaurants around. There is a nice lady selling fresh fruits not far away.

The bed was very uncomfortable, location was not great, impossible to walk anywhere. No safe to put valuables in.
