How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewThis is a very basic but convenient stop over for the airport. The property is clean and tidy and a menu is provided by the host who cook for you and bring your food to you in your accommodation. Very nice family and a very economical way to remain near the airport snd avoid high costs.
There was not a TV in the room. There is little around the local area unless you fancy quite a walk from the property and after a long flight this is not what we wanted.

Verified reviewI was feeling sick and I contacted the host on WhatsApp. They come to the airport and pick me up and brought me immediately to the farmacy. When I arrived they made me a soup and the room was perfectly clean and ready. I have never had a better expirience with an host than this one. During the day the host keep on texting me, they brought me other things like a small towel to put on my head with water and then prepare a wonderful dinner. Breakfast was included and was exceptional. 10/10 no doubt about it. Thank you

Verified reviewAwesome little hotel run by a super nice couple. Breakfast was spot-on, airport rides any time (free!), and the food was amazing — loved the vegan options too. Room was clean, cozy, and stylish. Close to the airport, great service all around. Would definitely stay here again.

Verified reviewNice clean room near the airport, perfect as a pit stop on the way to Khao Sok Lake or the islands. The owners were lovely people. We arrived late, but the owners reached out and offered to have dinner ready for us for a small extra cost. It was tasty. Great value for money.
I found the bed and pillows to be uncomfortable. I also was woken up around 4:30am by the sounds of some nearby roosters! Not really a problem, but it was rather unexpected.

Verified reviewThe hospitality from this couple was second to none! We were just staying in between flights and felt really taken care of. We were picked up from the airport for free which was really helpful. We also ordered our dinner in advance and it was brought to our hut shortly after arriving, pretty much letting us not have to worry about anything and resting for travel the next day. Absolutely the best place to stay in the area if you want delicious affordable and authentic Thai food with all the comforts you need for a good night's rest.

Verified reviewLocation of this guesthouse with 7 sweet little bungalows is great and very convenient for the transfer from/to the Surat Thani airport. Property is 10 min away by car from the airport. Transfer from/to the airport is free of charge. Communication with the owners (actually with their daughter which speaks english perfectly) via Whatsapp prior to our arrival was easy and smooth. Bungalow was very clean, basic but comfortable and it had small balcony. The bed was comfortable. Owners are great welcoming people, they do their best to provide everything you need. Homemade dinner was great, vegan traditional Thai meal, cooked by the owners wife. The breakfast was included in the price and we could choose the time for having breakfast (same for the dinner). Both dinner and breakfast were brought to our room (there is no common/dinning room at the property).
Just a suggestion: a kettle in the bungalow would be a nice touch, appreciated by those who like to have late or early tea/coffe.

Unmatched 'homestyle' hospitality from the proprietors -Free ride to/from the airport (less than 10 minutes each way) -Great selection of tasty home cooked meals, including a free breakfast -Owners very responsive to your communications and needs
