Beautiful view from the balcony comfortable bed and room. Great balcony. Really lovely.

I wouldnt say I dislike but for Westerners travelling Breakfast was mainly Asian, there was cereal and toast. Dinner not available at property apart from maybe a pizza. Had to go into town for a meal. Maybe grab snacks and drinks before checking in.

I like the serenity of the place. The area has agricultural plantation, other accommodation that were located some distance away. My booking was for a 2 bedroom villa that had attached bathroom in each of the room. There was also a large outdoor space for hanging out complete with a mesh netting in one of the section that overlooked the ground floor area. Very lush and pleasing surrounding. Staff was helpful, to the extent of letting us use their 7-11 convenience store app to order food and delivery. Bear in mind, there is only a nearby restaurant that is about 10-15 mins walk away. And it was so dark at night which discouraged us. We only went once to that restaurant for early dinner and then back to the resort. Breakfast was nothing fancy, just basic items. We had air conditioning problem on the 2nd day and although it was resolved much later that night, the problem arose again the next day. We were offered the next villa but it was a 1 bedroom villa and thus, we had 2 side by side units. This 1 bedroom villa only has a small balcony but otherwise whole unit was enclosed and therefore, no insects! Water pressure was also much better. In this unit, a microwave was provided along a refrigerator. We only had a refrigerator for the 2 bedroom villa.

The 1st night we were swamped with flying insects that crawled into our rooms as well. We literally had to switch off all lights except for one and ran into our rooms sealing the door edge. The shower in both our rooms had inconsistent pressure. The 3rd night as we were transferred to a 1 bedroom villa, the bed was a simple metal bed, thin frame, soft mattress, soft pillows that sank to the bed when laid on, bedding and comforter was cheap hotel style fittings. Water pressure although was much better, the shower head leaked so it was literally back to square one! They don't have a phone that you can call front desk if you had a problem. You need to walk to the main reception which, luckily for us, was just below our unit. If your unit is located away from the main reception, be ready to walk some distance for breakfast and back.

Everything about the place met our expectation.

1. Peaceful location, about 7 mins drive from Khao Kho main street. They can accommodate big groups. 2. Cooling temperatures in the morning and evening. 3. Value for money accommodation in Khao Kho with a modern interior setting. A lot of the other accommodations look like homestays while I was researching about Khao Kho. 4. Limited items for breakfast but it tasted okay. We were able to get a hearty breakfast daily before setting off for our sightseeing. 5. Lastly, we were not expecting WIFI in the rooms since it was stated there will be no internet. So imagine our surprise when we did get some WIFI signals (weak signals but better than nothing).

1. The rooms are scattered around the premise in various blocks on the slopes and located a distance from the reception/cafe. Walking up with luggage will be challenging on the gravel road. We engaged a private car with driver, so the driver will drop us at our rooms at the end of the day and pick us up from the reception lobby (where we have our breakfast). 2. The toilet in our room is also quite moldy (could be due to the damp environment). 3. Our room does not have insect net at the door hence mosquitoes got in. The room beside ours has insect net. 4. The shower used instant heater. The water temperature was lukewarm at best, which is quite cold when bathing since the temperature outside had dropped below 20 degC. Also the basin tap water is icy.

Very nice breakfast and the staff were very good. I have a little mobility problem and one member of staff made me some buttered toast as it was the far side of the very big restaurant. A lovely surprise. Reception staff also good on arrival. We had room service for dinner which was excellent service and quantity.

This is the main issue. All the nearby resorts and hotels are built on the mountain side. Access to our room was extremely difficult and many guests also struggled to climb the many concrete steps. I don't know how to improve things but maybe a building contractor could make access easier. Plus, the resort is a little difficult to find after a 400 km mountain road drive. So many advertisements along the roads.

Breakfast was very bad, buns were still frozen in the steamer. Heater for shower water not hot enough
