The pool by the beach . Right in the middle of the action at night but quiet location. Very clean and large room with comfy beds and large balcony where you could sit..receptionist was really nice . They made us a take away breakfast because we were leaving early .

Great value for the money. Plenty of options for breakfast, very clean, staff is always friendly and helpful. Not too much you could ask more. Great location in the heart of Lamai Beach, close to restaurants/bars/shops, but in the same time, very quiet, so you could relax and have a comfortable stay. We saw young couples, families with children, elderly couples, so is a place for everyone. A lovely stay overall and highly recommendable.

We approached the reception with a request to find a bike for rent, and we also needed boat tickets. The staff helped with all the questions super quickly. We are very satisfied! The hotel grounds are very beautiful, and the entrance to the sea is convenient.

AustraliaThe hive was a relaxing respite from the chaos that mainland Thailand and Koh Samui can be. We were a younger group but still found the Lamai nightlife to be fun and exciting (a short trip to chaweng if you need more stimulation) the Hive was close enough for it to all be accessible but far enough to not even notice it if you needed some TLC. The staff were friendly and accomodating, beach was at our doors and the breakfast was great every morning.

Perfect hotel for beach holidays, with beach front and pool with sea view surrounded by beach chair. Excellent breakfast serving verity of options from local t international. Hotel located close to many restaurants and bars. Apartments were surrounded by beautiful garden full with orchids, with cute, friendly cats running around :).

United KingdomA big issue is the selfish guest that insist on reserving sunbeds. It was often hours or even half a day before some of them appeared to lay on the sunbeds. This made it at times impossible to find a free sunbed. I was told by the hotel that they monitor this and remove towels after an hour if the guest doesn’t appear. Not once did I see the staff actually do this.
Disappointing start to our 6 night stay as the room we had been allocated was up two flights of stairs and no lift. We are both elderly (I did inform the hotel of our ages etc.) and my husband walks with a stick. The staff was very helpful and arranged another temporary room (ground floor but looked a bit like a storage room with odd furniture stored in there). After 2 night we got the room we were expecting and what we actually paid for and it was very nice. Comfortable beds and clean. Very nice breakfast with plenty of choice. Lovely staff, always helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a very good position with the beach right in front of the pool and hotel. A few minutes up the road are all the bars, restaurants and shops but you wouldn’t know they are so close when you are laying by the pool/beach.

United KingdomHad a fabulous stay at The Hive on Lamai beach. The hotel was well looked after and beautifully placed on the beach. Our room was 301 (second floor) and a really good size. Each room had a balcony whatever floor you were on and we felt the second floor was nice because it wasn’t overlooked at all. Lots of loungers around the pool and on the beach. On our fourth day it was a bit busier so harder to get a bed with shade. Nui on reception was really helpful and went the extra mile for every query we had. The hotel includes a complimentary breakfast which was perfect, and you could order additional food if you fancied. Staff were attentive. Beach is beautiful and close to lots of restaurants, bars and a walk to the Lamai view point. Would love to stay again some day. Thank you!

NetherlandsA little hard to find shade in the morning hours at the pool and all sun beds where full. As everywhere people put their towel in the morning and don't use the sun bed till hours later.
Nice hotel on the beach but in the centre of Lamai so close to all bars and restaurants. All was in walking range. The hotel was fully booked so a little hard to find a spot at the pool or beach. The restaurant is good and is facing the sea so always a nice wind to cool you down. Breakfast had many choices. Staff was friendly and greeted you from restaurant to reception to cleaning staff. I had a basic room but it had all you need and was super clean.

United KingdomI had emailed twice before arrival to ask for a quiet room as we were there for 6 days. When we arrived after a long trip from the jungle on Sunday evening, we were allocated a room on the top floor at the back of the hotel where we could hear loud music until 4am. We asked to change straight away but this could not be accommodated until the next afternoon..I was disappointed but this was resolved after 24 hours.
The location was great. Literally on the beach with the jellyfish net helping with safety in the sea. 2 minutes walk the other way you found yourself on the main street with lots of bars and eateries. The second room we were allocated was really nice on the ground floor.
