How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewVery friendly and helpful owners. Bungalow right on the water (stone beach). Huge fridge incl. freezer for ice cubes. Good hot water shower. Comfortable bed. Big C supermarket nearby. Thanks for having been a great host Matt !
Wifi connection not stable, but for downloading stuff we could always go to the main house where it's stable. So no worries...

Verified reviewThe pictures and description is according to reality - it is a great value for money. Stayed in the larger family bungalow in the back - it suited our needs, traveling as a family of 3 and no young kids. If you want fancy or boutique style of living - this is not your option! It's calm, out of the buzz, you can enjoy the ocean, yes pebbles at pebble besch, the sunset and listning to birds without clutter/outside noice. Tje owners are very friendly and check in on you, helps out if possible- thank you Matt! Easy walk 10-20 minutes walk for different eating options (if you don't rent a moped) Little Djing (maybe not correct spelld) is great for take out, both food and drinks. At the camping site 2 nice restaurants / bars and up to the main road real thai food stalls/ simpel restaurants plus Big C supermarket 10 min walk.
Just maybe some potential in fixing in the exteriour, but for us all good

Verified reviewIt was our second stay in paradise palms. It is a quite relaxing place. Its location is perfect for eploring the island. The bunglaows are confortable and very well equipped. The owners are quite welcoming and very helpful. We will come back again.

Verified reviewWe had a really enjoyable and relaxing vacation here. The bungalow was clean and the garden had a variety of fruit trees and palm trees. The beautiful sunset was a bonus. The host and his wife were more than friendly and kind than expected and if we come back to Koh Chang, we would gladly stay in his bungalow again.

HI there Very strange ,...as we rent bungalows ..we are not a restaurant ...so yes no food !!!!! We provide soap ..and endless toilet rolls ...for only 20 usd per night ...No shampoo . Maybe stay in a more expensive place next time ...where you can eat for free ..and get shampoo !!!! I wonder in a expensive resort ..they provide plug adaptor ..power cord ...for free ! Verified reviewWe had a really lovely time at Tara and Matts little Paradise. Its quiet and cozy, tucked away from the busy streets; very cool and spacious bungalows, the most amazing views and sunset you can imagine. Matt is a brillant host, funny and always ready to tell at story from his eventful and exiting life. We had a lot of good laughs and will definitely be back some sunny day. Please go to Dings for the most delicious thai food, 100m north and only 50 bht.

Verified reviewTara and Matt are very lovely, well prepared (they offer and got everthing you need: scooter, snorkeling equipment, transfer to the pier etc.), helpful and unobtrusive hosts, which always have spare time for some casual and pleasant chats. Just call for them and respect their honest business. Located on one of the best snorkeling spots (rocky but quite easy accessible pearl beach) of Koh Chang quiet paradiese palms has some great infrastructure. Especially if you want to go for the first and best located hut (you can almost jump into the sea), make sure you book in advance as the beauty is no longer a secret. Nevertheless all of them - cozy and clean - huts are recommendable. We enjoyed our trip and everthing what comes with this heavenly accomodation. Ps: Hold on the pictures, as you get what you see. For us it was heavenly. Thanks!
