I loved that the property wasn’t in the hustle and bustle and was more a retreat. The ability to relax and be at one with nature whilst having the flexibility of a short journey to more social areas of the island. Being a solo traveller I can’t thank the resort owners Lily & Steve enough for their hospitality. My stay says one night when in reality I stayed for 30 days. From the second I checked in I knew I was happy comfortable and most importantly safe. The staff work hard and keep the place immaculate. Rooms cleaned daily. Any questions I had I was helped with care and passion. Steve and Lily helped me book excursions. The weather was unpredictable and my safety was paramount, everyday they checked in on me. My breakfast was freshly prepared daily and served with a smile. Nothing was too much for anyone. The pool was perfect, cleaned daily and no time limit. The wildlife, plants and animals were all cared for. I stayed for 2 weeks worked up a bill cleared my bill and stayed another two weeks. It’s clear that Steve and lily want their guests to have an amazing time and nothing is ever too much. I can’t wait to return and awake in the jungle, the sound of Thailand and coming for coffee yogurt and mango again soon! Left Asia feeling as if I’ve gained more than memories but true friends as well.

Nothing, there wasn’t anything to not like.

Greeted kindly by Steve & Lilly. The room was clean, had a good-sized fridge ideal if staying for longer periods, good wifi, A/C. Nice little pool area. It was nice sitting on balcony, chilling eating/drinking etc. It's on a really quiet part of the island.

The website photos probably need updated, didn't reflect the property factually, iit didn't have the boutique element, in my opinion. The room didn't have a TV, and little touches were missing like the cushions on bed and flower on bed side table as photos on the website showed. . Overpriced at 1,995 baht per night.... if I had been a walk-in customer, I definitely would not have purchased.

In his own words "The room was clean, had a good-sized fridge ideal if staying for longer periods, good wifi, A/C. Nice little pool area. Yet he still found time to write here to complain about a missing cushion etc from a web site photo. if u want a boutique hotel on a island like this prices are from 4000-12000 per nite..so im not sure where this person thinks he can get a boutique island hotel for 2000 bt .. Everything was brilliant. The nice owner Steve and Lilly organized everything for me and gave good tips to explore the island. 600 m away there is the best restaurant and coffee shop on this island. The swimming pool in the centre of the 7 bungalows resort and the beautiful garden were the main attraction. With a scooter you are after a wonderful drive on the touristic side of koh chang. You need mobility.

Beautiful gardens and pool area. The hosts were very kind and helpful The location was great for visiting the main points of interest on the east side of the island. Breakfast was very simple but good.

Proximity to the road made it too loud for us. Not really very private. I imagined a much larger property with more room to find a tranquil space. It wasn't like that at all. Our room could certainly use and update. It was very plain. Also, the refrigerator made noise all night. We had to unplug it. A comfortable lounge chair on the terrace would also have been appreciated.

The 3 guests are from USA and France where hotels prices are up upto 100% higher since covid it seems unreasonanble tat they expect a hotel on a island paradise to be priced at pre covid prices.. At new year time our prices were same prices as before covid and right now we are up about 20% only the guest bemoans prices and claims not good value....so h thinks we should sell the rooms are 1000 bht or such to sayisfy those who want prices in asia to be set at rock bottoom he has 2 rooms and complain one refridgerator was noisy but of course no one else has complained about this..everyday we would chat with him yet he failed to mention this complaint to us ..if there is issue we can do something about if so why not tell the hotel staff when u are staying if there is a problem . Did u not want it fixed if there was noise or is because u prefer to write the negative on line . yuou didnt want o pay for a 4 or 5 star resort withh all the trimmings 40 rooms ..instead u wanted to pay just 2000bhat and so and u booked a hotel that has just 7 bungalows,,beautiful gardens and pool.your rooms were not near the road either..we have nice wooden outside furnitire but it seems u wanted outdoore furniture the like of a 5 star hotel..but u forget u could have booked the hotels with luxury furniture and luxury rooms but as u cant get this on island like koh chang for 2000 baht. so stop booking cheaper stays and pay prices closer to what u would pay in USA . Tell the hotel owners about any problems u have when u are talking to them each day..then don't expect cheaper stay hotels to offer 5 star facilities when u will not pay the price ..that is totally unreasonable for a island where costs are much higher for everything nd hotels pay more rent and land food and almost everything

All in all, not as advertised so ensure to plan carefully if you want to stay here. I'm genuinely surprised the reviews are so good, although it might be because the owner threatened not to give my refund back if I wrote a bad review. I booked this place on the basis of all the excellent reviews, the beautiful pictures, for the quiet nature that is promises on the non-tourist side of the island, and that there were really minimal options for my travel dates. The property and gardens are well kept, the room is sufficient and clean, and the pool is lovely. I was able to rent a scooter from the owner as I wasn't "too heavy" like other Dutchies.

Be weary staying here if you do not have transport, and are travelling alone. Notably, my experience with the owner, Steve, ended up like one out of a horror movie. I've since read a few reviews which comment on his defensive and intimidating nature.. His wife, Lily, is really kind and does her best to keep the peace. I booked to stay 5 nights, and shortly upon arrival felt uneasy and made a plan to find alternative accommodation. My booking was unfortunately non-refundable, and I politely asked if there was any chance of recouping the funds should I leave. Although he was visibly irritated, advised only if the room was re-booked. Thankfully it was, and he reimbursed for the last 3 nights. However, Steve threatened he would only give me the refund on condition that I not write a bad review, which was a scary experience as a solo female traveler. I do wonder how many other guests that this has happened to. I requested he leave me in peace once he had refunded me the cash, and was very grateful to leave! Upon check in, we had a brief disagreement as Steve insisted I pay 1,000 baht security deposit although their policy states 500 baht. He kept asking "if I needed the money" which felt very demeaning when I simply tried to clarify why he needed double for the deposit. He also made numerous inappropriate comments about Thai people, which I found very disrespectful as a foreigner himself. I was fortunate enough to rent their scooter, which seems to be quite an issue if you don't organize prior to arrival. However, upon checkout Steve charged me 250 baht/day rental instead of our agreed upon 200 baht as I didn't stay the full length of time. The property is in a very remote area, and not a wise choice without transport. They only serve breakfast and offer instant noodles and crisps in the room, should you get stuck without making an advance plan for dinner. The closest restaurant is a 10 minute walk and closes by 6/7pm latest.

Almost all guests love our nature area and our wonderful gardens ..many many extend says -this guest should have booked west coast busy side but she didnt- so we got her bad attitude because she didnt like it.--- when she could have just read reviews and seen the map. Sadly this guest has written misinformation and blatant lies The guest asked my wife for early check out but my wife did not want to deal with her because the guest had already been rude to her at breakfast and very very unfriendly this guest had such a bad attitude and aggressive demeanor.she was really a unfriendly person who didnt want to talk or be friendly to us . So my wife told me to talk with her - I then asked the guest wt she wanted and she said she wanted early check out..and said i must refund here ..i told here that this was not possible unless we could sell the room again.---then she become very upset speaking in loud voice and then yelling loudly so many guest could hear her.when i repeated that her non refund room was not going to be instantly refunded .She said repeatedly over and over WE MUST REFUNd HER .. in a yelling voice and this went on for many minutes. She then told me she would will a very bad reviews everywhere unless we refund her..then when that didnt work on us she said as hes a woman solo traveler and i was threatening her..Said loud enough so all guest nearby could hear this..it was a threat made because it would make me a bad person and of course shes a woman an i am the bad man tte mattr was unresolved and guest was very angry. Later that day after further discussion with my wife we decided to refund her 3 days stay but on the condition she would not go ahead with her threat to write lies about us ..We told the guest this and informed her we were under no obligation to refund her and reminded her she had threatened us with terrible reviews. She then said she would not write a review if we refunded her -- my wife said to her please keep your word to us as we have ben more thn fair to u well of course who would have guessed this woman would lie to us ..shows who she really is --totlly dishonest and someone who uses the kindness of others to get what she wants The 1000 baht ..guest checked in with very little money and not enough for room ...why would u do that .She paid for the private transfer and then we asked her for a 1000 baht deposit for the room but she said the money paid for transfer was the deposit....she seems to think we would let er stay without collecting some money as a deposit.. This i atruly difficult person and so ungrateful for the help and kindness we showed to her and no to th suggestion i was rude about Thais >iI love thai peole thats why i live here.they are kind and always friendly to all ..so just another lie to paint me as a bad person No i didnt ever say anything about dutch peolpe .what a load rubbish from this person..what a very crazy thing to say if u read this reply please read the reviews before this including those from solo female travelers who unlike this guest are giving us great reviews for the service and kindness we give . What can we do with a guest who is dishonest and who uses shouting and threats of being unsafe to get her way,,so so bad .People like nicola are just plan dishonest and so they dont trust anyone or anything because thats how they live their life of dishonesty thinking everybody is like them..

I cannot recommend this place enough! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with such warmth and kindness by the incredible hosts, Lily and Steve. They are truly the heart and soul of this paradise, going above and beyond to make my stay perfect. Their hospitality is unmatched—thoughtful, friendly, and always ready with great recommendations to make the most of my time on the island. The residence itself was absolutely spotless. Every detail was carefully maintained, making it one of the cleanest and most comfortable places I have ever stayed during my travels around SEA. You can tell that Lily and Steve put so much love and effort into creating a peaceful and relaxing retreat. And the atmosphere—just magical. Whether I was lounging in the serene surroundings, enjoying the beauty of nature, or simply soaking in the calmness of the place, every moment felt like a dream. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The ratings for this place are absolutely deserved. In my opinion, the quality of the stay, the exceptional cleanliness, and the outstanding hospitality easily match the standards of a 4-star hotel. Every aspect of the experience was flawless, and it’s clear why so many guests have left glowing reviews. If you’re looking for a peaceful, immaculate, and truly special place to stay in Koh Chang, look no further. Thank you, Lily and Steve, for making my stay unforgettable—I will be back for sure!

The accommodation was clean, calm, and well-maintained. Lily’s consistently warm and kind hospitality created a welcoming atmosphere. The staff overall were supportive and polite, and Steve was helpful with transportation and gave helpful information and tips outside of the incidence.

Steve displayed disrespectful and tense behavior during a disagreement about motorbike rental. During the conversation, he made an unnecessary and dismissive comment about larger bikes being “too heavy for a woman.” He became visibly annoyed and walked away when I tried to clarify details multiple times to make sure I understood correctly. He claimed that Lily couldn’t speak good English (not true!). When I tried to maintain physical distance as the conversation grew tense, he repeatedly stepped closer and told me to stop walking back, which felt intimidating. Additionally, repeated questioning about our plans and movements, combined with visible cameras, created a feeling of being monitored (not actually a feeling of privacy). The dependency on the hosts for transportation due to the rural location added to the feeling of lacking independence.

Firstly i try to help guests with things they might like to do so after breakfast i ask guest what would they like to do..it seem this lady thinks thats asking to much and i was trying to find out info about the schedule..if they want to go to a beach or kayak or waking i simply tell them the best places in this area..all guest appreciate our advice except Lily. Camera there is only 1 camera near reception but does not cover the reception area its aimed at resort entrance ; so the guest is pretending some surveillance.which doesnt exist .though i wish the camera has sound recording to record this crazy conversation .To get our hotel license we must have a minimum number of motion cameras or we cannot stay open ..we have only 4 in total . Mbikes..i never saqd woman cant rid bigger bikes many of our female guest do and so does my my wife. what i said to Lily w i had a bike a little bit smaller perfect for ladies ..\the guest has decided to embelish or story with untruths and exaggerations. we my wife and i want our guest to hav the best experience and almost all guest praise us for our helpful suggestions ..w\ This guest Lily and her mother stayed for 4 days from 26th dec Lily told us she wanted a bike but then said she was not sure if she wanted one or for 1 day 2 or 3.We reminded her this is peak season and hotel rooms and mbikes are mostly sold out She later said just one day then maybe later another day and I said ok but probably no bike available later The next morning at breakfast she told us she and her mother would take turns and the first day lily would use a bike (mother would rest at our resort ) and the next day her mother only would use the bike, The mother told me privately that they needed space - some time apart -and I was beginning to see why as making a decision wasn’t easy for Lily. And hour later she came to get that bike and I said we were really short of bikes so could she and her mother use a bike suitable for 2 but not strong to go over the steep mountain because our area is flat and they planned ..as they were planning to have just 1 rider over 2 days .This was my mistake because this is where Lily said “ I just want to be sure if we need a bigger bike we can get one “My answer was yes I will make sure u have one if u need it . Then she asked me exactly the same question again.. yes I said-but then she asked me 3rd and then a 4th the same question -the same words-- the 4th time promised yes..Then the 5th time I reminded her she had just asked me the exact same question 4 times before .Then she said it again and i had to ask why ..why ask the sam thin when I answer u each time yes u can have a bigger bike whe u want it She repeated the same question a 6th tieme which seemed now a mantra and this where she stepped 2 steps away and not wanting to hare this crazy conversation with other guest listening I moved to stand some 2 mtrs from her but not in her space The questioning got to 10 times repeteing over and over and over and over the exact same thing whereupon I walked 30 metres away so I could be calm – then she called for my wife ..and when she came Lily then proceeded to cry and say I will not give her the bike she wanted,,...good grief i thought . Sorry Lilly but u cannot make up your mind and why would u ask 10 times the same question when I gave you the answer u wanted the first time.. its enough to drive someone to madness, and sorely testing anyones patience ..i wonder if u even know now u asked the same question 10 times

5 or 6 comfortable bungalows around a pool in a small, but very beautiful garden. The rooms are simple, but large and have everything you need including a quiet AC and fridge. Owners are helpful and nice. I was happy to stay there.

Breakfast is pretty simple for thai standards, which is not very good if you stay for more than 2 nights. But the biggest problem of this accommodation is its position right next to the road. It is not very busy, but even a car from time to time can be bothering. You don't really feel like in the middle of nowhere.
