Location is great, right in front of the pier. Breakfast is great, filled with thai and continental options. The hotel has many rooms and 2 pools, so it gets crowded in the common areas at specific times. The room was spacious, and comfortable, but the cleaning service was not so great. How can a hotel like this not change toilet paper and wait for the guests to ask for it once it is over? It seems like the hotel wants to portray a luxury atmosphere, without having the basics of in place. I would recommend booking if you are looking for a comfortable hotel with pool, but keep in mind this is not a luxury hotel, as the pictures may lead you to believe.

I booked two deluxe rooms for two weeks and after two days downgraded our family to two superior rooms overlooking the lake facing the sunset and the mountains.3203 and 3204. The deluxe rooms were dark and overlooked other rooms.this was a personal choice which we all agreed on. Never enough sun beds.

Good position for restaurants in Railay . The staff were delightful.

1 pool was being renovated. Unfortunately upon requesting a room upstairs we were given a room in building 5 which is opposite the lake. These rooms are older and in need of renovation. when we were here previously we have stayed in buildings close to the restaurant and reception, these room are more modern and comfortable.

    Location on Railay.

A decent mid-budget stay, however if you can splash out for one of the better resorts, I would.

The bed and pillows were all rock hard. We had an extra underlay put on the bed, but really didn't make much difference. I ended up folding up the duvet and sleeping on top of that. The main pool is very pretty and right next to a big pond with loads of koi fish...however when the wind blows the wrong way, the smell is very unpleasant, so much so that we never spent more than 10min at the pool. The spa was also closed for renovations, which we hadn't been advised of at time of booking - given it is called the Railay Princess Resort & SPA, this was a large part of why we booked this hotel, so that was quite frustrating.

The location is excellent, about 1m from the east railay pier, so no lugging bags through the sand. Hotel was very clean and well maintained and staff were friendly, though very limited English, even at concierge/reception. Rooftop pool was lovely. The multitude of monkeys who come through the hotel grounds each morning are hilarious and very entertaining to watch, though keep an eye on your food when they are nearby!

It should be noted at first, that the hotel, as well as all the hotels here, are located isolated from the rest of the country, and the only way to get here is by boats. This is a plus if you don't like crowds nearby and a minus if you want ProjectX like parties. The hotel itself is quite tired-looking, but it corresponds to the price, it has everything you need for living and relaxing, the bedding is changed every day, and the cleaning is done very neatly. The breakfast is of decent quality, although somewhat monotonous, but there are enough dishes, so you won't get tired of it in a week. I don't recommend having lunch or dinner there; other places offer tastier or cheaper options, or even both at the same time. The hotel has two pools, which are quite small, but it's convenient to sit on the loungers and enjoy a beer. There are two beaches nearby, both excellent, with luxurious water and views. If you're in the tropics for the first time like me, keep in mind that there will be a smell of decaying organic matter everywhere, which is normal. There is a walking street with plenty of restaurants, services, shops, goods, and everything else. Excursions to nearby islands can be arranged, and you can also take boat trips to the nearest city closer to civilization.

The air con wasn’t efficient at cooling the room giving the impression it didn’t work. It took a long time to make the room finally cool enough to sleep in. No other complaints at the time of year we visited. No monkey issues and no foul smells as others have reported

Right next to ferry pier so no need to drag luggage far at all. Railay is a small resort so everything is a quick walk from the hotel. Best beach is on the opposite side however it’s no more than 5 -10 min walk away.

Well only a couple of negs re breakfast. First couple of days there was a really great dark whole-wheat bread as well as the white bread that I am not a fan of, then that great bread disappeared and was replaced by a somewhat less wholesome bread. Not a huge deal but a disappointment. The only time I was disappointed with a staff member was at breakfast. We were early, it was not busy, i ordered an omelette as usual. From where I was sitting I could see the omelette maker. She put what I expected was my omelette on a plate. There was a male server standing there talking to her. I expected him to bring me my omelette. But he just stood there chatting, finally put the plate on a tray walked over to the fruit area then back. I thought I guess that wasn’t my omelette! Then another omelette was ready for my friend and the server brought them to our table. This was not the end of the world but I watched my breakfast sit there for several minutes while the server just stood there. If I had been sure it was mine or that he wasn’t going to bring it, I would have gotten it myself. The thing is….i got so annoyed that I lost my cool. My bad! But he needs a different line of work.

Most went well, room was comfortable, beach access was good considering that it was not the most expensive hotel/resort. The staff were polite and friendly.
