Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe setting if the hotel was very quaint that created a tranquil oasis in a bustling city and yet it was within 15mins walk of most of the major Wats and night street markets. The staff at the hotel were always willing to take care of your every need and always with a smile. Breakfast under the big Banyan tree was truly amazing.

Quiet and peaceful area but can easily walk to the city activities or grab a tuk tuk. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with a wide variety of options. They also had afternoon refreshment hour included. The staff were so attentive and kind.

ThailandA bit far away from the centre if you decide to walk there.
Many facilities provide for guests, including Nespresso coffee machine. Overall, the room was clean, the bed was comfy. Also, The size of room is big. And the swimming pool is also just in front of the room. Last but not least, you can start your lovely day with hotel breakfast, there are various kind of breakfast, which was tasty and nutritious.

SingaporeThe front office asked us if we took the bathrobe before asking the room service person, which is a little bit unprofessional and disrespected. As we didn't take anything, felt like we are thieves or something.

AustraliaStaff were a little varied at times. With a bit more training this place could be 5 star, but the service level was just a bit off. They're all very young, so it's more likely an experience issue than anything else - everyone pretty friendly, but just missing that extra mile to make the stay perfect.
Beautiful little oasis close to the city. Walking distance to the night markets. Yummy breakfast. Nice pool. Spacious rooms.

AustraliaCould do with more towel rails in bathroom- one hook for 2 people isn’t enough!
Staff were fantastic! From reception to restaurant and everything in between- they were truly great! Breakfast was a good buffet and a free afternoon tea was a nice treat each day. Beds quite comfy by Thailand standards! Good amenities in bathroom Pool very well kept Location is a little walk out of the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai which gives you a bit of peace. However, if someone had mobility issues they may want to consider somewhere else.

Hong KongStaff lacked experience. They didn’t clean the room properly. We stayed 5 nights and every day the room was not cleaned well.
It’s a boutique hotel little outside the city. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was limited but good. Overall a good budget hotel if you are looking for a calm and peaceful place. Don’t expect five star service or amenities.

GermanyThe style of the hotel is rather simple, no fancy decorations. But it delivers in all relevant points: Clean and functional rooms, daily water bottles and coffee capsules, a rich and varied breakfast, exceptionally friendly staff. The hotel is situated a bit off center of Vhiang Mai (30 min walk to the old town), but given the heavy traffic in the center of Chiang Mai, you will learn to appreciate this. The only slightly off-putting thing was the pool - while very beautiful, it was also very cold; my baby daughter loved it anyway though!

SwitzerlandVery good breakfast with lots of choices between Thai and Western food - lots of fruit though unfortunately they did not have papayas often enough... well that was just a personal wish otherwise the food was great and the service very good. The location is quite good - a bit out of city centre which is actually kind of nice as it's a bit less noisy. However the walk to the town and especially the night market area is only about 5 minutes and one has the pleasure of walking over a bridge across the river - nicely decorated when we were there for Loi Krathong. The hotel is small enough to be personal and comfortable without all the fuss of a bigger place. The staff are all very kind and helpful and so very polite. All in all a great place

Everything. A lovely, wholesome and pretty stay. The location is small, sweet and stunning. It’s in a great location only a short walk to food places, bars and activities. Very central. It was our anniversary and they decorated the room with flowers and a beautiful note, made the stay so special. The breakfast was so yummy! Lots to choose from. Loved it.
