Koh Tao is quite overdeveloped but this place offers some refuge

Beautiful place with lovely rooms and a view to die for. Helpful staff and an excellent manager. It is quite uphill, but walkable if you're determined

The hotel was really beautiful and the rooms were very comfortable. The owner, Andrew, was kind and very helpful. However, we experienced two major issues during our stay. The motorbike we rented was very old, and twice the brakes failed, which was extremely dangerous for us. The other problem was the laundry service; unfortunately, they washed the colored clothes together with the whites, and all our white clothes turned yellow. This mistake ended up costing us a lot.

The bungalows are very hot. However, the fan did more than his job to cool me down. If you really can’t stand the heat, take one with AC. Otherwise, it is perfectly doable.

Very friendly host. He even gave me a little motorcycle lesson so I could explore the island that way. He gave good recommendations on what to do and were to go. We could rent motorcycling at the resort and snorkelling gear. Top location with a stunning view.

You need a motorbike. Not a problem in our case but be aware before you book.

Great. I loved it. The staff is super friendly and they explain everything you need to know to go around the island. The bungalows are clean and simple, with everything you need. Price-quality is exceptional. And if you are lucky with the weather, you can enjoy amazing sunsets!

Very welcoming and helpful owners. Gave a very in depth guide on how to navigate on an island, where to visit and what to do. They helped us rent a motorbike and taught how to use it properly. Also the owner provided a taxi from and to the pier which was very nice. Would visit again if travelling here.

Not a problem for me, but one should keep in mind that you definitely need a scooter or some sort of vehicle to get around.

Perfect classic Thai wooden cabin in a peaceful setting on the hills, just a short scooter ride away from Sairee beach. Awesome views, especially around sunset.

The standard of the bungalow is very basic. If you do not have high expectations and also you are not afraid of geckos or spiders, you will be satisfied :)

It didnt affect us but you definitely need to be comfortable riding a motorbike as the hill is quite steep to walk!

Terrific couple of chilled nights spent at SVR ! Exceptional service and hospitality from Peay, Andrew and staff at this very quaint, peaceful, quiet, clean and friendly resort tucked up on the hillside with majestic views, not too far from town. Highly recommend for this budget. Cheers guys !

Overall this place is fantastic close to everything but also out of the way nice and quiet with an amazing view everyone there including the manager and all the staff are so greeting and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back. The Australians love it.

Sairee View Resort is a beautiful place. The view is amazing, rooms are clean and comfortable, facilities are great & all organised really well. Unfortunately we didn’t read enough reviews and didn’t realise it was on a steep hill therefore we needed bikes which we weren’t willing to rent. Completely our fault, I’ve forgotten the guys name but a lovely Canadian guy welcomed us and explained thoroughly how everything worked. He offered to show us how to ride the bikes however we personally didn’t want to. Was the warmest welcome we’ve had since being in Thailand. 100% recommend this accommodation if you have a bike!

You NEED a scooter- you cannot get around without it. I learned on the island by the host who was patient and kind and made me feel confident enough to go out. Mostly no traffic around the hotel but there is a steep ascent and people walking in the middle of the street at night by Sairee beach. Otherwise doable if you’re confident on a scooter or on a bike and want to learn.

Beautiful views and helpful staff. They helped me with the scooter and with laundry and other questions I had throughout the stay. Would recommend for a couple or someone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Sairee beach.

The only thing is that we put outside the symbol to clean the room, and I think that no one saw it because we put it late in the morning. But it was the next to the last day of our stay, so it wasn't so important.

Magnificent resort far from the chaos of Koh Tao parties, a piece of paradise to have a calm and peaceful stay. You need a motorbike, but you can find it at the resort, easygoing possibility!

Important to know that u need a shampoo, a pool/beach towel and they prefer to change towels after 3 days (though u can request before), also important to know that it is up heel and has some distance from center so I would very recommend using a bike.

Andrew was really nice and provided a lot of info about the island in clear English :) (he is Canadian), the view from the pool is amazing, we also rented a bike from them and used a taxi from and to the pier.
