The road to the hotel is very steep. The location of the hotel is a bit out of town and you have to rely on a taxi/scooter to explore the area. We had mold in the silicone joint in the shower and a spider in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was not very varied. The hotel manager was very pushy with us at breakfast and made inappropriate comments about our respective eating habits - felt harassed. When we asked him about his misbehavior, he became aggressive and loud.

Breakfast did not have many options and most of the times the trays were empty. Someone knocked at our door at 6am in the morning and opened our door at 8.30 on the first day.

The view from the hotel was amazing. We arrived at 11pm and there was not receptionist however the engineer of the hotel help us with the check-in. His english was not very good but we managed to understand each other.

I feel like it was beautiful back in it’s day but needs some love, parts were a bit run down. Ideally you need a moped to get anywhere as it’s too far to walk

the resort is quite isolated so you have to rent a motorcycle to go anywhere as taxi’s are super expensive or you need to walk down hill to the street. WiFi is mediocre as you need to enter password every time

great pool view amazing views. The gym is also decent with free weights up to 25KG. Amazing staff as well!

Everything was great except the bathroom :( Only the bathroom was terrible because it smelled bad and the shower had little water. More than worse, the dirty water was running from the toilet and bathtub.

Maybe it was just me but couldn't get used to the bed, but I was happy with it just found it a bit hard .

Isolated. Old facilities. Hard bed. Far from everything (this can be appreciated by some). The studio rooms have no windows or anything - smells like mold, you get the drift. The pictures on Booking have to be from the times when the hotel was new, it doesn't live up to what you see in the pictures today.

Very nice view of the sea but no beach. Facilities are okay but you can tell it's been a while since renovation has happened. The staff is lovely but the facilities are a bit downgraded. It's an isolated place and you need to use a motorbike or taxi to get to the more busy streets.

Access?very hard to get in up a very steep hill,I paid for a rooms with a few we didn’t get a few ☹️ The showers were awful afternoon and evening were cold 🥶 to get to your room was to many flights of stairs breakfast was average at best we did complain about the few and the shower the shower wasn’t fixed 😠 we were offered a different room but had two single beds unacceptable for me and my partner .

It’s super inconvenience to go anywhere from the hotel. if you don’t have a bike you will need a taxi or grab and it’s 400 baht every time no matter where you go do to it being so steep in the mountain. For how expensive it is to stay here the tv doesn’t work, the bed uncomfortable, the pillow is rock hard had to ask if they could find me a softer pillow and the one they found wasn’t any better. WiFi has to be the worst WiFi in history lol it only work okay if you’re up in the lobby area only.

First day we got room where the ac unit was soo loud we couldnt sleep, next day we got bigger and better room and everything was okay 👍 We got stolen Helmets from scooter and the receptionist didnt even care about it and didnt even looked at the cctv footage and refused to call manager. The hotel is very old and spa is “ghost city” you cant get masaage there, you cant use the sauna, pool bar is also not working 🤦🏽‍♂️

An exceptional Hotel. Beautiful grounds that are well maintained. Staff and management kind, courteous and helpful. Very nice beach area. The breakfasts were so nice. An all round great experience. I personally would highly recommend Samui bayview Resort.

I did not like the fact that the room did not have a window or balcony in it, but what was most disappointing was the fact that none of the services were working and I mean none. The reason I picked this property was so that we could get pampered if we wanted to without leaving the hotel. The hint was in the name, Bayview resort and Spa. The gym was not open at all and it looked as though it had not been upgraded in years, the spa was completely closed for refurbishment, to be honest I think I should be refunded in full. I had paid up to the 19/01 on arrival in cash but I moved out on the 17/01. It completed ruined my visions of what Koh Samui should be.
