Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaVeeery hard bed. Not easy to walk outside of the resort as it’s on a busy street.
Beautiful grounds, nice beach, luxury villas, wonderful pools (one giant one for adults and one for kids), three restaurants, very friendly service.

SwitzerlandSometimes the limited English of the staff made it impossible to communicate. We forgot some pens and a book in a restaurant, but could never locate it because the staff didn’t understand what we lost. Also, the staff could circulate more frequently to take orders on the beach (we had to go to the beach restaurant and ask for things to be delivered to our sunbeds).
The resort is very beautiful. A very well maintained park surrounds the resort. The beach villa we stayed in was amazing and had a small pool. Just a few steps to the sandy beach. Beach is super nice. The water is not crystal clear but great anyhow. Breakfast was very good and there was a huge selection of food. Staff is very flexible, and if you want a smoothie with a flavour that is not available on the menu, they will make it for you. I tried the spa as well and had the best treatment of my life (and I had many) - the yoga facial with jade stones. A pregnant woman (unfortunately I can’t remember her name) gave it to me. It was heaven! Kids club is also good - friendly staff and lots of toys for the little ones.

PortugalThe resort is 5 stars. The only negative is that you need transport to go for activities or to go for lunch or dinner outside the resort. The neighborhood surrounding Santiburi is safe, but not particularly attractive.
Santiburi is probably among the top resorts in Asia. The property is very well maintained and the gardens and landscaping are amazing. The beach and the beach service are top-notch. Our villa with a plunge pool was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent with a wide selection of European and Asian dishes, tropical fruits, and eggs cooked to order. The service staff are accommodating and attentive.

FranceNot that I could think of anything particular, my family Of 6 may (or, may not) have inputs to that effect. However, they are not with me here at this time. I would have liked to see your poolside bar menu for lunch to have some more variety items.
The variety was excellent & so were the preparation (s). I liked the cream breuilly in breakfast & the variety of cheese (my favorite being the Camembert). As additional variety me & my family would like to see some Indian preparation also, such as, parathas, puri bhaji, chile bhature& dosa for a change sometimes.

Santiburi is a tranquil, exceptionally relaxing place. The stag went above and beyond, making everything seamless, allowing for myself and my partner to be extremely comfortable throughout the whole of our stay. The food was exceptional, facilities exceptional, the staff were so nice and polite. I cannot express how lovely our time was. In fact we found our stay so amazing we extended our stay, which reception and the staff easily allowed for. We spent our time playing golf, daily massages, dinners on the beach in the most fantastic environment. Thank you all at Santiburi for making our stay so enjoyable. We wish we never had to leave!!!

FranceVery bad matelas. Super hard. We slept very bad every night. And even the matelas in baby cot of our child it was similar quality. You have an impression that you sleep on the wood. Really necessary to change
Beautiful relaxing beach surrounded by palm trees which give natural shadow. We had a villa with beach access. It was nice to make just few steps to go the beach. Great breakfast.

United KingdomThe prices for extras were Western and quite steep. The food and cocktails were delicious, and the spa was lovely, but they came at a price! It is expected at a resort like this, but it does add up!
An incredible resort. The staff were wonderful and super helpful (especially with dietary requirements). Highly recommend downloading the resort's app, where you can see a range of interesting daily activities the resort puts on, as well as the history of the area, ordering room service etc etc. We went slightly on off-season so it was quiet but the beach feels very private. We had a great stay here.

BulgariaThe beach was amazing with possibility for long walks. Not all hotels in Koh Samui have such a nice beach - great sand and great for swimming and kids friendly. As one of the first luxury hotels on the island, the hotel is situated in one of the best parts of Koh Samui - incredible garden and beach. The beachfront villa was amazing and just next to the beach. It is the more expensive option, but I highly recommend it. The food at the beachfront restaurant was also excellent and there is a nice selection of fresh fish for lunch, but you can also reserve a fish for dinner. It is amazingly delicious, prepared whole, steamed using Thai herbs like ginger & lemongrass. The free ice-cream every day was much appreciated by our daughter. The hotel is also not far away from the Fisherman's village (nice restaurants and bars, marketplace every Friday evening) and not that far away from the Buddhist temples Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai) & Wat Plai Laem. You can order a taxi by Grab mobile app (similar to Uber) or a hotel car (a little bit more expensive). I highly recommend this hotel to both couples and families.

UzbekistanBeach restaurant food choice can be various, as on the 3rd day you're feeling it's the same. However, who stays in the same place, while you have the whole island to explore? :) We didn't use villa pool due to chlorine smell, but again, who needs villa pool, if you have the big water nearby? :)
Amazing time spent on this resort - recommend for romantic stays with a partner/spouse for a week. Great choice of food on the breakfast, the same in restaurant (can be various menus though). The staff is super-helpful and ready to react on any ask - whether it's room extra cleaning or facilities support. Great location, private beach with your own towels, free water and nice hammocks between palms. I also set up a private romantic date on the beach and the staff made more than everything to perform it to remarkable and amazing event.

SwitzerlandFood is (too) expensive, not only compared to local restaurants where you can eat for 1/5 of the price, but also compared to other resorts of the same cayegory. Food quality varies greatly. We did eat 4 times at the resort - first time lunch at the beach house was a bit disappointing - food took very long and arrived lukewarm. However, the dinners at both the beach house and then the Thai restaurant were amazing! Tasty, fresh, and super friendly staff. Then last time was inroom dining - the Cesar salad was, sorry to say, probably the worst food we had on our whole 30 days stay in Thailand: Instead of grilled chicken, as it is on the menu, we received a handful of tiny, probably boiled but still half raw sliced pieces of chicken, and the salad was not fresh at all. We had to send it back, and they didn’t charge us. For the gym, some kettle bells and stretch rope would be great. So our only real complaint would be the quality of some of the food and the pricing situation - other than that we loved it!
When we arrived, we received a free upgrade to a reserve pool villa, which was fantastic! The villa looks much newer than the other, more traditional villas, and the pool and the privacy was incredible. Loved it! Absolutely wonderful private beach with clean, fine, white sand and very friendly beach staff. The whole resort is extremely well kept with a lush garden, and it’s very dreamy. Excellent breakfast with lots of options. Fantastic spa and massages! Gym had a lot of equipment, not the latest, but most of what you needed. We had an evening flight back and were able to stay in the villa until the transfer - lovely. Staff was amazing all around.
