PortugalIs not a good thing to generalize (we came across super nice staff members, but a significant number of them was not. We went 4 times to the pool, in two of them there was no towels, when they came, they didn't brought us one. One of the times, they didn't pick up the dirty plates and glasses from the previous guests, nor brought us the menu. Rooms outdated. Room cleaning very poor. Not what we expected from a Shangri-la at Thailand. As someone said in a previous review, they are trading on the name and the number of stars.

United KingdomI found the ‘dinners’ (they called it Happy Hour) okay but the food wasn't exactly delicious. Some evenings, I found it hard to find a dish I really liked. It suited me as I was dining alone and not really hungry. I was glad to not be a vegetarian as those dishes were very uninspiring and unimaginative. The pool and surrounding area were very small with a very limited amount sun beds.
I enjoyed the Horizon Club room which was included with my suite. It made breakfast and dinner a quiet experience. The staff were always friendly and helpful

We wanted to use it more, but after the first occasion we didn’t send our child back as we were concerned they would get sick. Maybe increase the size of the playground as it was small and a bit outdated. Possibly look at getting pool heating
The staff were generally very happy and welcoming, apart from the breakfast matradee who didn’t smile and was very short with us. The pool was great for our child and the main areas are clean and maintained. Our room view was great. The location was good, with restaurants, bars, massage, 7-Eleven, Money Exchange and Pharmacies near by. There were plenty of tuk-tuks around to take you further away as well.

Everything was immaculate. Bedroom was clean, beds were comfortable. There was a big pool with a slide and jacuzzi area as well as a lifeguard! The lounge areas were nicely decorated and staff were attentive. I had a slight sore throat when I arrived and requested ginger and honey with warm water which I received without hesitation. The next day we didn't get our hotel room cleaned and the staff called to make sure everything was okay which was a nice gesture. I would highly recommend this hotel in Chiang Mai as its very close to markets too and looks so pretty from the outside.

IndiaThey made the new year party mandatory and it is not worth the money … I had to pay additional 27000 baht because it was mandatory… and this information came only after I booked and paid for my room … otherwise I wouldn’t have continued with my booking .. and to top it the party was very boring 😒😒 me and my family didn’t enjoy at all …

AustraliaThe bed was not comfortable and cleanliness was average (it could be because they rushed to check me in early but still). Breakfast wait staff need training - first day my tea arrived late and cold and second day it didn’t even arrive then they came back to ask me what my order was and there were two others complaining about their coffee/tea orders at the same time.
The hotel is nice and good location. Staff are good, they let me check in early which was much appreciated.
