How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewVery quiet location, had the whole place to ourselves. Lucky for us the sun was out and we sat around the pool which was absolutely perfect for our last day of a 5 week travels. Staff were very accommodating and the food they cooked up was amazing.
It was a little bit out of the way. we didn't really do our homework properly. There wasn't any English TV.

Simply the fact that dining locally can be an issue. But they did everything they could to bypass this problem.

Verified reviewThe host is really friendly and helpful!! They organised a transfer from the airport in Bangkok and to the ferry in Trat and everything went really smooth. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was decent. And the little doggies at the property are amazing!

Verified reviewNice, friendly and helpful owner. Since next restaurants are a few kilometers away, the owner has a basic but good menu. No problem if you have a car. Swimmingpool is nice but not really refreshing with about 28C.
A desk or table with a chair in the room would be nice if you have to do some work on your laptop.

Verified reviewThe place was really nice. You could see and hear the ocean and it was in a very quiet farm area. Food was good and they arranged our travel out to Koh Kood. It was excellent service and went flawlessly. We truly appreciated how well it was all organized and how simple but nice the room was.
Walking the neighborhood was difficult because the dogs were very unfriendly and actually charged and nipped at us. I am a dog lover and have rescued many dogs so I was able to get them to back off with voice control- but at one point we had to pick up a large branch and wave it around as one group of dogs went after us. So don't plan to walk the neighborhood down to the sea...

This hotel is very far away from «everything» and Bolt/Grab doesn’t work. So if you don’t want to eat at the hotels itself (that you have to let them know before you arrive because they don’t have stuck ups of food) and like us want to eat somewhere local, you have to pay the hotel an arranged price of 400-600 baht ONE way to go to «the city» or a beach. Which is so overpriced, and when confronted about that the owner got pretty aggressive by text. We eventually went to the beach and got to know the restaurant owner there and ate amazing food, the restaurant owner and her husband were then so kind and sweet to offer to drive us home. To then be stopped by one of the hotel workers (actually the same one that was our «taxi driver» to the beach) when they dropped us off, and were clearly asked about how much we payed them to get there. When we asked of transfer to the resort next day to Koh Chang, the owner wanted 1995 baht from us two. That’s the same price we payed transport from our resort on Koh Chang to our hotel in Bangkok. That’s crazy! To Koh Chang we just payed her the 400 baht to get to the pier, then 80 each for the ferry and the taxi another 100-150 each to get to our resort. Such a weird and unfriendly vibe, would not stay here ever again. Felt like a rip off.
First of all, we would like to clarify what happened. Since our accommodation does not have a restaurant within walking distance, we will send the menu to all customers to order in advance so that the kitchen can prepare the ingredients for cooking. We have informed you that if you want to go out to eat, you have to use a taxi, which is private because there are no public transport or grab/bolt around here. You seem to be understand what we explained. As soon as you informed us that you would like to go out for eat, you were hungry angry and took it out on our staff. You ask us to call taxi for youYou were very hungry and angry (actually, this was not the our fault). We try to find a car for you as soon as we could find it, and you agreed to the fare. When the car arrived, you haggled with the driver until the driver had to call the accommodation back to say that she would not go. It was not within the agreed price. The car we organized for you was a private car. You scolded our staff, saying that they were putting money in their own pockets. This car was not a public taxi. In fact, what kind of car would pick you up? You had to pay the agreed price. We had ever asked you if you would like to eat with our kitchen. Or order food from out side with free delivery for helping to save your money.You insisted on going out. We service our customers with service mind. We never discriminating against our customer.But don't accuse us taking advantage, putting money in own pocket and rip off, with speak not nice to us. We let you pay the driver directly, no need to pay through the accommodation. Anyway all trip have cost depending on the customs of that place. You want to use private taxi but want to pay like join car. We told you the price of taxi depend on hotel location. Any your hotel in Koh chang at end of island. You should study carefully or search more information before traveling. It's not just only you have to pay for tickets or transport fees on the island. All Thai people and everyone have to pay in the same cost as you. However, we apologize that our service has made you unhappy. We will take the mistake to improve.

Verified reviewLovely small B&B with swimming pool, just 12 minutes drive from the car ferry to Koh Chang. The owner kindly cooked for us the evening we arrived (you need to preorder) and the food was tasty and fresh.
Rather uncomfortable bed that squeaked too much everytime either of us moved 😴

TV had no Netflix or diverse international programming. As it’s so far away from shops and eateries, you feel a bit stuck and have to rely on the owner to drive you around for a fee. This makes you feel a bit financially vulnerable - but for an overnight stay, it’s fine.

Our accommodation is truly pet friendly, but we have already informed in booking .com about the rule that if any customers would like to bring their pets, please inform us of your intentions. There may be a charge for staying there, as the dogs that customers bring are large breeds, a German Shepherd, and a medium breed, totaling 2 dogs.
