Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI didn’t like that my bed in my room appeared to have a stain on the sheets and the mattress of the bed seemed the have a large hole in it. The locker in my room also seemed a little dirty.
I enjoyed the property location because it was centralized and I liked the facilities. The bathrooms were kept very clean and other common areas were well maintained.

United StatesNothing at all. Like literally there was nothing to dislike about this property and I’m super picky.
Easily the cleanest hostel in Chiang Mai. The beds are super comfortable, the staff is super attentive and kind. There is a washer and dryer here so you don’t have to go elsewhere for laundry. Many chill areas you can relax in. The breakfast is so generous and good. Everyone is kind and it’s a really peaceful environment. Also, a lot of individual storage space.

United StatesI think my only issue is the no elevator. Some people have disabilities and climbing 4 floors to the female dormitory is taxing.
Very very clean. Spacious and lots of storage. Great atmosphere and great breakfast.

ChinaMeet some racist guys in this hostel, this can be happen in every hostel of Chiangmai not only here. 1. A weird and rude mysophobia couple from Australia lived in the queen bed treat the indormitory room as their private room. Asked everyone to follow their stupid quiet rules before 11pm. Blame me making loud noise when close door(actually not) rudely and offensively. 2. A naked British guy from Guernsey island UK was very offensive and racist, the most rude British guy I have ever met when travelling. This rude and racist guy nakedly walking weirdly in hostel lobby everyday. BTW, I realized that maybe people who live near the door were easily affected by the shock and noise when other open or close the door. Wish hostel can notice this.
All the receptionists and staffs were kind and helpful that I can not complain. They did very good cleaning. I would not complain about staffs in hostel. Maybe consider organising some social activities?

AustraliaHeaps of mozzies. The hostel is very open so there’s mosquitoes everywhere, luckily I had my mozzie net. Also it is a pain to walk to a different floor whenever you want the bathroom. Poor wifi. No lift.
Nice place, free water, breakfast was decent (toast, eggs, different Thai food each morning, fruit). Had free coffee/tea/hot choc. Free drinking water. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Lots of seating, guitar, ping pong table.

IndiaThe shared bathroom is on 2nd floor for females and 1st floor for men. So if you are staying on a different floor, then you have to go accordingly. I didnt mind it at all and it was not inconvenient for me.
One of the best hostels I have stayed in. The rooms are spacious, cupboard to keep stuff is decent (get your own lock), common area is fabulous and overall the place is clean. The bonus is the complimentary breakfast and unlimited access to water and coffee. The staff was very helpful, they booked the day trips for me from Chiang Mai. The breakfast is basic but good. Location is also great, most places are walkable from the hostel. There is an atm too right outside the hostel.
