Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyYou need to be okay with insects. This resort is clean, but sometimes an unwanted little guest can sneak up in your bathroom.
This is the only resort with beach access. It has a chill atmosphere, perfect to rest for some days. Right at a beach is the hotel restaurant with delicious food for everyone. The staff has been really helpful, when we got sick (from a restaurant outside the Resort). Thank you again! Be aware: You can only access by boat.

GermanyWe expected to stay closer to the beach. But it took like 5 minutes from the room to the beach. Not a big deal. No telephone in the room. We stayed for 5 nights but the sheet were never changed. We had a double bed. Plugs were located one side, light switches were located on the other side. It looks like a small detail, but in the night time we had to wake each other up to turn the light on, or to plug the chargers in. For me, the most striking point was that it was not a quiet, peaceful bay. The beach was under a constant noise of longtail boats. And it is really loud there! But the room was away from the beach and silent.
Nature is beautiful. Water supply from the hotel I appreciated. 4 bottles renewed everyday. A golf car carries your luggage to your room and back.

United KingdomNothing!
Everything! This was a hidden gem that we booked on a whim. The bungalows are basic but good size and nice and clean. When we arrived there were beautiful monkeys running about in the trees outside the building, there was a huge monitor lizard behind the bungalow and at dusk you can watch the huge flying fox bats come out to roost. It was a nature lovers paradise! The view of the surrounding cliffs is just gorgeous also. We will definitely be returning. Breakfast was decent, bargain for the price. Staff at the hotel were wonderful and so helpful. Staff at bar and restaurant were less so in comparison but no big deal. We just adored this place.

NetherlandsThis is a beach resort that is frequented by rockclimbers. excellent facilities. The beach is very nice. This resort is not extremely luxurious, has no swimming pool and a nice basic restaurant. Staff is very friendly. You can walk to another beach but you have to climb a little or walk at low tide along the beach. This neighbouring beach is rather touristic.

United KingdomThe drains smell abit and the air con is indeed rather loud but these are minor inconveniences. Could do with a sheer curtain as the rooms look out onto the mail walking path between the rest of the hotel and the beach
We upgraded to the deluxe villa which is certainly worth doing! Room 101 or 102 but looks like they are adding more. These are very modern and pleasant! Would advise this! We loved the location! Was amazing to be so close to the beach!! Read some reviews about ‘Tonsai Belly’ so played it safe at dinner but to be honest, it’s Thailand, it comes hand in hand - we felt fine and had a nice meal! Saw lots of monkeys and a Komodo Dragon too on our walk to Railay beach. Just stayed for one night so we could be close to the beach for abit and would highly recommend doing so!

United KingdomGetting to the property was a nightmare! The hotel had messaged me straight away stating that the only access was by boat. I messaged them to enquire what was the best way, as I was a solo traveller. Their response was vague. I caught a boat from Aonang Beach for 800B, which was more than they had said. I messaged to say I was on route no one was there to greet me so I had to drag my suitcase across the hot beach, and the find the undirected reception area! I noted that when I arrived, there was a boat moored on the beach, with the hotel logo on it. I asked why was it not possible to send this boat for me and why had no one greeted me at the beach. They both seemed to not understand anything I was saying. No apology was forthcoming. I saw older guests and families arriving they too were just dropped off on the beach by various boats and left to find their own way too. I read the recent reviews just before I arrived, saying there had been a few instances of funny tummy so I decided to eat vegetarian for my whole stay. However, this did not help. I still got food poisoning/funny tummy, on the night of my stay. I have been ill for just under two days. I only ate that the resort restaurant. There was also another guest that I chatted to and she too had been ill.
The hotel is nestled into the cliffs of Tonsai Beach. The beach is of outstanding beauty, one of the best beaches I have ever been to. I had a superior deluxe villa which was fitted to a very high standard. Comfortable, relaxing, spotless and cleaned everyday.

United KingdomAC was loud and disturbed sleep a little, but it kept it cool! It can be difficult to get to other places depending on the tide as Tonsai is difficult to reach at low tide and so it costs more to rent long tails etc.
Great location right on the beach with a great vibe, nice restaurants and a short walk to Railay for more activities. Overall excellent stay and the staff were so helpful in organising onward travel to our next destination. The island itself is not too busy which is brilliant and the beach is beautiful! Yummy breakfast.

NetherlandsBathroom didn't have a shower curtain and was next to the toilet (unfortunately, like many places in Thailand/Laos..). Quite expensive for what you get.
Room was standard but fine, could benefit from some decoration. Location is good, close to the beach. Staff at reception was kind. Great extensive breakfast, dinner was also good, great views from the restaurant.

RomaniaThere is no shower. You basically shower above the toilet (this is not shown in the pictures, so it came as a surprise). I only ate at their restaurant (on the beach), trying to avoid the famous Tonsai Tummy (because I am pregnant). Well...bad luck: I still got it. Also, the whole group got it (they ate at different restaurants in Tonsai).
The location is quite remote, but very nice. The staff was nice and helped us with all requests. The room was quite clean and big, but the bathroom is from another movie.
