It seems that URip shares its reception with at least one other hotel. Maybe even 2 or 3 other hotels. The pool has a lot of steps/shallow areas within it, so if you are keen on doing laps count that out. There is also a lack of sunbeds and umbrellas, there’s definitely room for a few more, and they’re all mismatched. They ran out of beach towels half way through the day. Our bathroom was a bit dirty down the side between toilet and shower. There was only one mirror in the bathroom, could do with having another mirror/full length mirror in the room. The hotel is up high (tsunami safe!) and I don’t mind the hill, but they could do with some trellis under the rooms to hide the mess/plumbing underneath.

The pools were great. The location was good for us as well. We liked that it was on the quiet side of the island. It’s about a 10 min walk from the pier, but the hotel meets you there with a trolley for your bags. The room was ok. The bed was comfy. The rooms are up a steep hill, and they drive you and your bags up on a motorbike. My partners wallet dropped out of his pocket with the force of the bike up the hill. We didn’t even notice, and received a call the next morning that his wallet had been found. It was returned with all contents including all our cash!

The rooms were a bit old and there were mosquitos or something in the room which bit me many times in the night.

The pool was nice and the location was far from the night life which made it relaxing.

Rooms need maintenance. Toilet paper holder and toilet seat were broken. Water in shower has a terrible smell. Actually smells like drain water. Not pleasant at all. Beach loungers and umbrellas at beach would have been nice

Shower head needed replacement and room smelt a little like moth balls but I’ll take that over not having bugs in my room, and I lit incense and it was fine. They need a coffee machine as they only offer the instant stuff so go elsewhere if you want a decent coffee. Otherwise everything was great. It’s not bougie by any means but you’re not in your room much in phi phi anyway so served it’s purpose!

The resort is at the quiet end of phi phi which I loved, the pool is absolutely stunning and has views of the bay! My room was basic but good! I almost cancelled after seeing the bad reviews online but it was so fine!! I had an amazing view from my balcony! For price, pool and location your can’t go wrong! The room was big and clean, there’s also robes and they cleaned the room every day. The staff were super friendly!! They have someone meet you to pick up your luggage and take back to the resort (there’s no scooters on phi phi) And the breakfast was great, there’s so many reviews saying limited options but there was loads of stuff and same amount as everywhere else I’ve stayed in Thailand.

I have nothing to comment what I dislike about this hotel. For the rate that i paid, it was superb. Those who love to complaint and feel entitle I would like to suggest to these people "no need to travel at all".. :)

The communal areas of the property were slightly run down. For example the communal WC near the pools, most doors didn't lock and they weren't cleaned regularly enough

This resort is completely dry / no alcohol served onsite. There is a basic cafe during the day, no operational / advertised evening restaurant. The breakfast wasn’t very good at all.

Far from pier, had to carry our own bags after checking out. The rooms are small.

The staff helped cancel the extra room as the fellow travellers couldn’t make it. The proximity to beach is good and the pool is good.

1. The pool was secluded into sections and it was not one large contiguous pool. So, doing laps in the pool was next to impossible. 2. It was a bit far to walk, from the Tonsai Bay pier.

1. The breakfast was sufficient but more pastry would have been better. Only white bread was available for pastry. 2. The beach was excellent with a nice view of the limestone hills. 3. We got an upgrade to our room, which was good.
