Steep hill to walk up but short

Not the easiest place to get to and a little far away compared to most places if you’re walking to places. Bathroom door was hard to open and close and the pool wasn’t very clean.

Decent sized apartment with fridge and kettle. Pool is nice and the area is quiet. Nice views.

The doors weren't able to be completely closed - there was always a gap - which means there was always a way for mosquitos etc to get into the apartment. The shower was kind of clogged, it took some time for the water to rinn off.

The view from the pool was very nice. Also the apartment was quite spacious and the aircon worked pretty well. The pick up from the ferry was also super convenient and the staff was super nice and helpful.

Being up on a hill and at the end of a very tiny road meant that not all of the taxis would make it all the way up. For this reason it's be useful to have a shuttle service from the hotel. The pool was nice but could do with a bar/restaurant to at least buy some drinks!

With got a very spacious apartment with an incredible view of the sea and the bay. The living room was perfect to chill and the 2 bedrooms reasonably sized. Everything working well in the bathroom as well.

I would have appreciated daily drinking water to be supplied as most other places do. Especially being up such a steep hill and numerous steps, having to carry two big bottles of water meant I couldn’t carry anything else.

Location was quiet and dark at night which I liked. The pool area was lovely with great views. The bed was the most comfortable of everywhere I’ve stayed in Thailand!

We had a great time at Viking house! This place is beautiful and peaceful with our lovely landlords Tony & Verica. They let you feel you are at home and always help you out if you need them. We highly recommend this place and we are definitely coming back

There was no duvet, 2 single sheets that weren’t even as big as an actual single sheet. Why not a double sheet? We found a used plaster in one of the beds, which was a bit off putting. The hosts are friendly and happy to help but we felt also a little intrusive. We didn’t like that he came into the apartment without telling us while we weren’t there.

The pool was nice and it is an amazing view from both the pool and the balcony. The beds were very soft compared to everywhere else we have spent the night. We were allowed to borrow snorkels for free.

One very small thing is that bedroom doors are stiff to open. Just need the doors plained at the bottom and then they would be fine.

Excellent view of the sea. Very clean inside. Everything you need is there including drinking water.

Lovely owner. Really makes sure you have everything you need but at the same time very non-intrusive. Great guy, too. Gave us lots of tips for snorkeling, food, renting motorbikes and even where to get medical help when Dengue struck. The room was very clean and comfy, the shower and bathroom were great as well. There is a fridge, toaster and kettle. Plus all kinds of cutlery and dishes so we fed ourselves very well up there without having to go out for food every day. Quite a few shops, local grocery etc. only 2-5mins by scooter. The pool is nice and has a lovely view over the bay. Our balcony/patio was nice and secluded, a good place to read while swinging in the hammock. All in all very much recommended!

Nothing, all was perfect !

I would give an 11 if I could. This place is amazing! Great friendly hosts who helped us whenever we needed it. An amazing pool and incredible view, especially for the sunset in the morning! Wifi worked always well. The place is close to the pier but on the hill, so you can enjoy a good view above the city. Thank you so much!!

All fabulous.

We liked everything about our stay in Viking House! It is in a beautiful location overlooking fantastic views of the water, mountains and islands and a short walk to Mae Head. The hosts/owners were so helpful and lovely to us during our stay. We also loved the pool area to relax and cool off. If (hopefully) retuning to Koh Tao again we would try to book this accommodation again!

Soft beds. You need a scooter to go around, it’s up the hill.

really only thing someone could criticize is, that sometimes the wifi wasn’t working, but on this beautiful island and apartments it doesn’t matter - just maybe to keep in mind for people who have to work remotely and rely on really good wifi

Very peaceful location but still close to town. Tony and his wife are extremely friendly and helpful hosts. We got a lot of recommendations. This place is the perfect place to stay if you wish some basic, clean, quite but central location in Koh Tao.
