Reviews of Villa Playa Samui

The property is in a beautiful location. We basically had the beach to ourselves; but may is also low season. Managers and staff are friendly and professional. They responded very fast to all the technical problems - unfortunately there were many. The design of the rooms , bathrooms is very tasteful . The vibe of the entire property is very elegant and calming. The decorations in the garden and entrance are incredibly beautiful. A zen place over all. We stayed for an entire month , our four grownup children came to visit for half of the stay. We had plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is well equipped overall .

Although we had a beautiful month in Koh Samui and even in this property , there were a few things we did not expect for a villa in that category. At first sight, there is a wow- effect, however, the condition of the property isn’t good at all, and we needed a lot of maintaining . There were people coming and going , rattling with tool and drills fixing AC’s, water floods, sun shades, doors… This constant need of a crew fixing things, in addition to the coming and going of gardener, pool guy, pest control and staff led to no privacy at all -the very reason we booked a villa not a resort. Over all we did not spend much time in the villa, because we felt uncomfortable chilling by the pool with all these busy workers.

The villa was impressive and the kids loved the layout and their own room.

The distance to town. We had to hire a cab anytime we wanted to eat or do anything. We did do grab once for the kids.

What a fabulous spot this is. Maximum privacy with the beach 2 steps away. We celebrated my wife's 40th birthday with some friends. We will definitely come back to this wonderful villa. Special thanks to the villa staff who took super good care of us.

DO NOT STAY HERE - photos are false and misleading. When you complain about the missing beds and furniture the owner and manager will ignore them. You then have to report to booking.com and the villa manager will come over without notice to argue and gaslight you to the point where as a family mid vacation we had to ask her to leave the villa. See our reviews on Google for more indepth review. Carefully read their reviews and note when a real person leaves a negative point about the property, weeks later suddenly a review is posted that makes those problems seem not so bad. The owner and manager don't care about what you need, worst hospitality service we collectively as a family have ever experienced. STAY ANYWHERE ELSE where the people help and care. The villa is for sale and the owner clearly no longer cares about providing a service that matches his price point. Following our complaints the booking.com representative agreed with me that she couldn't even get her point across to the manager and agreed she was rude - fortunately in this case booking.com agreed to compensation as the owner was not assisting in anyway to resolve issues. Go some where where you won't have to waste vacation time dealing with these people. Even the cleaners stand around in the lounge room on their phone and we asked for no more cleaning we were told that we "must" have them come.

Property is very beautiful, stunning bathroom, quiet and just right on the beach. Manager is very helpful and so lovely. Staffs are so nice.

For the place for 8-10people stay should have enough seats for dinning table and the couch should be bigger. It quite uncomfortable when you wanted to sit in the lounge room to relax together. Bed is so comfortable but pillow are so hard and high we got a sore neck at the end of our stay.

All you need for a relaxing holiday right at your doorstep! Pool, beach, sun! Great cooking staff! Delicious!

The location was great, right on the beach and very nice and quiet and also beautiful with the lovely pool facing the ocean which creates a stunning view. The chef was amazing, don’t bother going next door to Six Senses for any meals, the chef at the Villa cooked our best meals of our trip. The bedrooms were great and very big, room to put a baby crib between the wardrobe and the bathroom as there is a partial wall separating the main sleeping area. Great air con and fans to keep the rooms cool.

There isn’t much vibe/restaurants immediately nearby in walking distance but given how much we loved the Villa chef this was ok. But it might be important to other guests. Also, the plumbing did smell on the first day but when we told the manager they sent over the plumbers straight away and pumped it out and it was fixed. Would be great to have some young kids toys at the Villa but that is a nice to have as we brought our own anyway.

This property is a unique gem that stands apart from all the cookie cutter resorts and villas in Samui. You will feel like you have a part of something very special staying here! You will be on the beach which is a private, not very busy beach. The staff , manager and all persons involved in servicing this property are kind, helpful, diligent and very quick to respond when you need something. We enjoyed all the water activities and games provided , as well as the amazing infinity pool overlooking the ocean (and pool toys!). Every room is equally comfortable , has an en suite bathroom and is well-equipped for all vacation needs. The house has every mod con, spectacular views!!!!!!, gorgeous and inviting interiors accented by rustic Thai aesthetic. The villa manager organized any service we needed help accessing like massages, taxis, restaurants, private chef, tourist destinations etc. The chefs were very flexible and accommodating on dietary needs. The management and staff were always available and ready to answer any questions. I would also reccomend using their services to get taxis etc as they are well-known to the locals and will make sure you don’t get ripped off. My family is so well-rested and happy after this getaway! I would 100% book this property again.

The location was perfect. Close to the sea and absolutely no traffic noise. The villa has all mod cons, and unlike being in a resort you had complete privacy. Our host was very helpful getting the luggage that was left behind in Bangkok.

The one thing missing was a bedroom with two single beds.
