Very comfortable private villa set in lovely tropical garden with a river view. Found it very peaceful and relaxing after some hectic city travel. Owner was genuinely warm and welcoming and gave our stay a homely presence. Great to see refillable water bottles instead of the usual plastic variety!

There's nothing to write home about.

First of, the location is excellent if you're looking for peace and quiet. It's 4 km off Chumphon downtown so make sure you rent a scooter. The facilities as described on the website. The owners were beyond accommodating and polite. The place itself is located by the river and surrounded by palm trees

We where here only for one night and there was not really much in the direct surroundings.

Nice, nature setting with livery spacious bungalows. The river is nice but was not really accessible because of the strong current.

The roosters were already cackling at 3am in the morning right outside your room! Didn’t sleep as well as expected. The hotel has no restaurant but there are restaurants nearby. They introduced us to one which was 200 meters away on the river which was amazing and the food and service was out of this world! The only draw back is when you walk back to the hotel it is pitch black in darkness and there are a few dogs about. I think the hotel should offer guests torches or pick guests up in an electric buggy as it’s quite uncomfortable walking in such darkness in the jungle..

What a little gem of a resort! So lovely and peaceful and right in touch with nature! It was a shame we arrived late afternoon after a long motorcycle trip and it was pouring so we couldn’t enjoy the canoeing on the river right outside my room. Bed and shower were great and air conditioning super. Love the gathering area with a lookout area upstairs. Great that they have cold beers available at only Baht 50 per bottle.

There's nothing not to like. Villa Varich exceded our expectations.

We loved Villa Varich! The grounds are gorgeous, even more than the pictures, as is the location. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area by bike and also took out a kayak. The villa was super cute. My son loved the the upper floor and the high ceiling made the room more spacious. The staff was super nice. In general, people in Chumphon were very welcoming. Chumphon was a lovely surprise. We wished we had stayed a bit longer. Also, the coffee was yummy :).

Absolutely nothing.

This place is really special. Just a few minutes from buzzing chumphon. It is a green oasis of peace and beauty! Our villa was very comfortable and well equipped. The staffs was very nice and accommodating. If you are there ask for the massage from Rung. Do the reflexology massage but be aware that it takes a few hours. It is an absolut fantastic experience! One of the highlights!

The owner welcomed us so warmly and was very helpful & knowledgable. We were given a lovely gift - locally roasted coffee, which was delicious. We stayed in a villa with river views, parking right next to the villa. The villa was enormous and ridiculously great value for money. There were kayaks available but we were at Villa Varich during a heatwave and therefor didn't use them. I did spend may enjoyable hours along the river enjoying peace, quiet & the abundance of birds. Breakfast was not included but there was still a nice selection of breakfast goodies in the room - nice touch! Would 100% come back when we are next in the area. Thank you :)

Great location in the great jungle and nearby the river. Room is clean, and I like the room design, simple and beautiful. They have bottled water and some snacks in the room, also offer great drip coffee when you check in. I found a coffee tree in the yard, it’s nice. They also have free bicycles for you, I was riding a bicycle in the jungle for hours, it was a very great experience. But watch out for the dogs, you may see dogs wherever you go, and they are not cute dogs. 55555 The staff is very nice and helpful, I left at early morning 6:30am the next day to catch the train, I worried about that I can’t find a car to pick me up on Grab, and the staff called a motorbike driver to take me to the train station at previous night. I appreciate that. Thank you very much. :)
