How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Verified reviewThe location on the most beautiful beach, the spacious room, the Thai food at the restaurant was great, as well as drinks (juices, shakes etc). The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Had a massage through the hotel and was the best I had in Thailand.
The beds were a bit uncomfortable, and the price was a bit too high for what you get.

Verified reviewThe rooms are really gorgeous, the pool is stunning and the beach sublime. Despite being full and high season, the beach and island feels quiet and very relaxed.
There are very few vegetarian options in the restaurant/at breakfast And please, get rid of the plastic straws! These days I’m really shocked to see them used so much…

Verified reviewWe stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and had a wonderful experience. Before our stay, I emailed the hotel to ensure they had vegan food. Upon arrival, we were pleased to know that they had purchased vegan products and veganised a few items on their menu for us. They have amazing pad Thai, curries, and fried rice. The hotel itself is lovely and has a beautiful beach and pool. The staff are very friendly.
One tiny thing is that the nearby septic tank smells, but it’s not the worst—just something to be aware of. We will definitely come back if we are ever in Koh Kood.

Verified reviewAmazing location and pool. Really tasty food at the restaurant. Only 8 rooms, so feels private. Directly at a beautiful beach. Staff very helpful. You can rent a kayak for free, but at an additional cost you can also rent a SUP, go on a snorkeling or fishing trip, scuba diving, firefly watching etc. The staff will organize it for you quickly and efficiently. The best beach on the island.
Rooms aren’t very modern, and the bathroom is sparsely lit. I got a SEVERE rash on my face and chest after the first night (and spending 10 days in Thailand before that with not problems) - not sure it was the bed linen or the pool water, but it was something over there.

Verified reviewThis hotel is a dream for back backers - like a 5 star lux hotel. Exactly in the center of the beach. Next door neighbour is the best 5 star hotel of the island. For the peole older than 30 it is 3 star hotel in nice location with Good breakfest. Room was big. Full of fake plastic flowers, fake bird cage with plastic birds and etc. Huge bathroom. Entrance to the room was behind pool shower cabin. Entrance to the hotel lobby was also interesting. It seems it was a other near by 5 star hotel workers working route. Smelled like a toilet area.
Entrance to the pool only from your room. Area between beach and pool not build out. Air condidioner was aiming direcy to the the bed. 10 pm all workers gone and lobby locked up.
