Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI liked everything about the property.
What a wonderful stay, I would recommend this property to anyone that is wanting to stay in Tunis. Very clean property and an excellent location. 7 minute walk from one of the best restaurants in all of Tunisia. I will be staying here next time that I visit Tunis.

United KingdomThe new door was a bit difficult to use (the key struggled a bit), but not a big deal once we figured it out !
Beautiful house in an ideal location in the medina. Owner was absolutely charming and made us feel incredibly welcome. The bedrooms are huge and the house as a whole is beautifully restored.

NetherlandsThe villa is actually a two level building and another one for the roof top (the rooftop is good for absorbing some sun and getting in a view of the tunisian mosques and buildings structure. It is not for a long stay though. The bottom floor had two big bedrooms, each with its own beautifully designed and well maintained toilets and showers. The top floor had yet another one humongous bedroom with one more great bathroom. The ground floor has a suitable kitchen with a mix of maintaining the ambiance of the old architecture yet new utensils and kitchen tools. It is was good enough for our needs and in that floor is another toilet by the door just in case you didn’t have enough! The apartment has a small living room couch and NO TV (which might not appeal to some but for us, it was perfect). There is an amazing hall/yard like where you can sit if the weather allows it and take in all the feelings of buildings from old centuries. The internet and phone coverage is not good in all places but work fine in the living room which was good enough for us to stay connected when needed but if you need your mobile coverage in all places (in bed), you will not have that. Nothing better than super could be said about the owner’s hospitality. She is welcoming, helpful, full of good recommendations, kept the apartment very well supported with towels, soap, toilet paper, everything that might be needed. I highly recommend this place for a group who are willing to feel Tunis. There is no parking “right” in front of the door but one minute walk and there is a street where we were lucky enough to park sometimes but it is not the easiest.

United StatesThe Internet only worked in the main living/kitchen area, but it wasn't a big problem.
We had an amazing stay at Amel's beautifully restored home. Every detail was perfect! And it helped us feel more connected to the art and culture of Tunis and the area. The beds were all very comfortable and being able to use the laundry at the end of a 2-week trip was incredibly helpful. Amel met us at the property and gave us some fantastic tips for restaurants. She even helped order a taxi for our VERY early flight home for our last day, which we much appreciated. She was communicative and helpful throughout our stay.

United KingdomOnly niggle was the WIFI was weak in the bedrooms , perfectly good in the kitchen where we could watch netflix on our laptop , but would have been nice if we could have used the upstairs lounge for this . a fairly simple fix of adding the missing antenna on the router and perhaps installing an inexpensive repeater upstairs to boost the signal . apart from that absolutely no complaints . Some reviews mention that the villa is down a small dirty alley this is definitely not the case . It's down a small sweet cobbled lane .
The villa is lovely, spacious and comfortable. we had a lovely stay . The kitchen is well enough stocked to do a bit of cooking if needed. situated in a nice neighborhood its close to a bakery where you can buy baguettes in the morning ( top of the lane to the left) and a few small stores where you can buy eggs , coffee etc , (top of the lane to the right) . TIP* From the top of the lane turn left on rue de Pacha, the souks are about a 15 minute walk along this road , where you will also find coffee shops, fast food takeaway, pizzas etc and some restaurants, it's a pleasant and interesting walk. if you follow the souks all the way to the bottom you will arrive at the top of AVE du France,l, where you can buy wine and beer in Maison de generate and the nearby monoprix . A bit further down in the same side you will find the theatre cafe / restaurant which serves good food at reasonable prices . Avoid like the plague the street side restruants on the opposite side .

United KingdomSome people could find the location slightly intimidating given it's in a very local narrow and dirty street with no direct access with a car. It takes about 7 mins to walk to the more touristic area of the medina. We did not feel unsafe at any time though.
Amazing traditional Tunisian house in the heart of the medina and 5-7 mins walking distance to the souks and the Zitouna mosque. The place is in an impeccable condition keeping every detail in mind and very clean too. We were a family of 6 and had lots of space to be comfortable and move around. The decoration and styling make you feel like a princess 😉. The host was easily accessible and very responsive. This place definitely elevated our stay in Tunisia!

SingaporeOne thing to note is that the property is a bit difficult to access via car as it is located in a smaller lane. Just be prepared for a tiny bit of walking to and from the main road.
Beautiful, clean, and well-equipped property. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom which was a welcome bonus. The house is situated in a great location, with coffee shops and patisseries nearby, and is in walking distance from the medina. The hosts were responsive and very pleasant.

SpainThe house really is amazing. The decoration is just awesome, even the bathrooms are cool and the beds are comfortable. In addition there is a rooftop where you can take a look at the city Skyline. Additionally the location is very good too, within walkikg distance to main attractions. The host was very helpful.
