If one arrives late - there is no food in the apartment. Thus, perhaps an option for collecting groceries nearby, or having breakfast served, which would have been fantastic on the first morning. It was cash on arrival, which I was not aware of, but the hostess was flexible and helpful. As the accommodations didn't have an ATM/credit card payment facility, nor online payment, and this can be tricky if you wish to use a business card, or if you cannot draw cash locally or if you arrive late at night. So just having a little advance warning of that would have been helpful.

The balcony was great. The apartment was clean and new. The host was great and really helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

Lack of pots and pans when there was a cooktop available, lack of sharp knife for cutting things like pawpaw/coconut etc. Mentioned to host and she was very responsive and happy to assist.

Lepeka (host) made our stay - she's wonderful, very friendly and helpful and we loved getting to know her. The bed was huge and comfortable. Great to have AC for hot nights, wifi was good to keep in touch with family back home and great to have a balcony to sit outside watching the chickens & roosters next door. Good location for walking to town, supermarkets close by & range of takeaways/ street-food/ restaurants within easy walking distance.

It seemed that the hot water was either out or just not working during my stay. I don't mind a cold shower but I know some people prefer to have hotter showers when able.

I enjoyed the location and room accomodations. Being able to wake up and look out the window and see the wrap around balcony was very nice.

The location of the place is about a 10 minute walk to the sea front and a 15 minute walk to the downtown area. This was fine for me during the day but in the evenings /night one would need a taxi. However I was very happy to walk to downtown during the daytime. The wifi caused a bit of a problem however the owners provided me hotspot when it was not working. They have attempted to fix this so hopefully it will be fine in the future.

The lighthouse was a well run place and the room I had was very spacious with kettle, microwave and cooker. The bathroom was also spacious. In addition there was a nice balcony with table and chairs. It was well priced and the owner was extremely helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

My second stay at the Lighthouse Studio Apartments. A spacious, well appointed room with a great balcony to enjoy your coffee on after a day out sightseeing. The host is very helpful and keen to ensure the stay was a good one.

Pillow was a bit hard for my liking. But a small issue.

A spacious room with large and sunny balcony that was great to relax on. Good kitchen facilities for self catering. The manageress, Lupeka went out of her way to ensure the stay was enjoyable. The apartments are a short walk (approx 800m) from the waterfront and centre city. Its a pleasant walk which gives you a chance to see life in Nuku Alofa way from the main street.

The hospitality of the owners was wonderful. So friendly and helpful. Private apartment and left to our own devices whilst also made to feel very welcome to reach out if we needed anything.

The rooms were comfortable and it is an easy walk to the city centre. They offered a lift to and from the airport. One of the evenings I wasn't well and Lepeka checked in on me to check I was ok. I enjoyed my stay here.

Everything was great.

From all the Booking places I’ve ever stayed. The owners of the Lighthouse Studio really were incredible. The host went out of way to make sure I was comfortable. They are in the top 5 most accommodating places I’ve ever stayed, and this is coming from someone that’s been to every continent and 129 countries. For what’s available on the island their place was a really, really good deal and included AC as well as free wifi. Should I ever return to Tonga, I will definitely be staying with them.

Crazily expensive for what you get(bad value for money) - like the whole island - literally got a 2 bedroom whole apartment in Brisbane for a very similar price(far higher cost of living salaries etc...) The internet situation - didn't work at all on arrival - it randomly disconnects and isn't the fastest - many previous reviews have been saying this. - Starlink would be great to purchase It is a guesthouse room not an apartment Really poorly equipped - No cooking facilities as listed- wanted to at least be able to cook pasta Inside of the kettle is dirty

It said no meal options so we knew that but the Kitchen only had a small pot to cook with so that option wasn’t there either. Drains in shower and sink didn’t drain. Well they did but slowly.
