Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There are quite a few things that need to change, to improve the rooms: from all over the place painting, to flooring that needs replacing, to TV that doesn't work [whilst being encased in a crooked box, with screws exiting the wood....maybe acting as an antenna].
The place is in the old part of the town, close to all must-see places. The staff is really friendly and helpful

The wifi didn't work properly in my room. Also the restaurant down the road had music playing until late at night which made sleeping a bit difficult on the first night.
Excellent location. The hotel is very close to all the main attractions with a great selection of restaurants in the area. The tramline is also a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

While the breakfast is great, the coffee is really bad (watery, comes out of a machine), so better stick to the Turkish tea. I really started longing my morning coffee after the third night at the hotel. My friend found the TV too small, I personally didn't care
The hotel is perfectly located, very close to main sights like Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, etc but still in a quiet side road. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great- served with vue on the water and a wonderful turkish buffet every morning. Great value for money during the time we were there. I also slept really well (in hotels I often wake up with neck pains)

Issues with the shower doors and a door lock were resolved in a short time. The hotel staff is nice and helpful. Rooms are a little worn out but clean and comfortable.

We were really tired after a long night flight. The hotel manager let us check-in in the morning and it saved our day. Breakfasts were tasty and sea views from the terrace were marvelous.

The only thing that bothered us was the loud music from the bar down the street (Marbella). If you choose a room with a view to the street, you might also have to listen to this loud music until late in the night!
The hotel is near the centre of Istanbul and you can go everywhere by feet in 7-8 minutes (Hagia Sofia, Top Kapi, Grand Bazaar etc). Everything in the hotel is squeaky clean, although is an old building. The receptionists and everyone working there is super kind, helpful and willing to inform you about the city.

Great location right close to Hagia Sophia(5min walk) . Very good breakfast from 08:00 to 10:00 and friendly staff. Value for Money absolutely. I definitely recommend it to all! 🇬🇷

The breakfasts weren't really good. It was underwhelming compared to all the other breakfast we had during our trip that were incredible.
It was a beautiful hotel, calm but still in the touristic area. The rooms were great and cozy.

surprise was a double bed on a high platform, which was a little difficult to negotiate for us oldies. Breakfast could be until later (say 11.00) for late arrivals.
Location in old town great; room spacious, and extra single bed was useful. Reception staff - particularly Selmon - very helpful in planning our day and organising transport.

Nothing much. I think some air conditioning system (not sure, couldnt quite figure it out) was loud, the noise was coming from our bathroom window. Bur we could live with that.
Great location, quiet and clean area next to Blue mosque, well connected to other main attractions. Very hospitable and helpful staff. Great breakfast with nice view from the restaurant. Comfortable bed. Excellent value for money.

Small room, a bit dated.
The rooftop breakfast was decent, not exceptional. For the money a good deal. The staff was fine. The location is excellent, a couple of blocks behind the Blue Mosque.
