Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe downside of being in a touristic rea is that every restaurant and shop arrass you to come in. It gets quite annoying, actually. Also, parking is super limited. 6 spaces only. The bathroom was a bit dated (shower door would not fully close, so would get the floor soaked). The lift was fualty made noise all night.
Great location in the old town. 10-15 minutes walk from the main sites to visit. The venue staff is super helpful. Flats are good, spacious, and clean. Breakfast, Turkish style, is basic but good enough for the price. I would recommend the venue, though. Value for money is spot on!

GermanyHotel is required renovation, all windows can not be closed properly. The carpets must be replaced. The bad room must be clean properly with special cleaning chemicals. Curtains and drapes are not washed or ironed since the hotel was built.
Good location. Big room.

AustraliaThe shower was a little dangerous as it was a high rim. You have to be careful not to lose your balance getting in and out.
Checking in process:quick and helpful Staff/Customer service: very good Room type: Sitting area was great, but TV was at an odd angle. Had to move furniture to watch. Air conditioning: A couple of air cons and they were excellent. Access(stairs/lift). Tiny lift, but was fine Kitchen: small bar fridge. Couldn’t put a large bottle of water in it. Enough room for a dozen small bottles of water or Coke. Utensils : coffee cups only. No spoons/ knife or fork. Tea bags and coffee sachets provided Bedroom: Bed was very comfortable Pillows: A couple of different thicknesses to choose from Wardrobe space: more than enough Bathroom: Shower was over a very high spa bath. Had to be careful stepping in and out Water pressure was adequate Water Temperature was warm, not hot. Toiletries: were available and adequate Towels: Fresh and not worn. WiFi: Really quick and good Breakfast: Rooftop and part enclosed and air conditioned. Not big, but a good selection of food. Location: very close to to mosques & Hipodrome Noise: Double glazing and good drapes allowed a sleep in.

United StatesNo drinking water in the room. Also, they need to identify the property better on Google maps... taxis couldn't find it.
The suite was very comfortable, although a little on the older side in terms of furniture (didn't bother me at all). Check-in was actually at the hotel across the street. The location is great; just a few blocks from the major attractions and surrounded by shops and restaurants.

United KingdomOne of our rooms had a faulty Jacuzzi, so we didn't get our money's worth for that room. One of the central lights in our other room was not working. But they had it fixed almost immediately when we raised it at the reception.
Excellent location with all the major tourist spots 20 mins away by walk. Lots of restaurants nearby for late night dinner. Our room had a faulty jacuzzi but the manager was quite considerate and even offered us an airport transfer. Housekeeping and lobby services were prompt and very good. Breakfast was very good with a lovely terrace view of the Bosphorus river and the Blue Mosque. Spacious and clean rooms with most basic amenities.

GermanyBed was very uncomfortable (too soft) to my taste, my back was hurting. Unfortunately, they gave us only 1 key for 3 people and said more keys were not available (can't they program more plastic cards?).
I stayed here 12 years ago and was surprised to see that the hotel is still in a good condition. Location is great: all main sightseeing spots of Sultanahmet are minutes walking distance away. Breakfast was okay.

RomaniaThe only negative thing was that the furniture in the room is old and not in a good shape and room not really clean (especially the bathroom was in a poor condition).

United KingdomThe staff were so lovely and friendly Zeynet, Ciwan and Emas were like a family they looked after us so well. The breakfast was always so good there was a good variety of food every morning. The room was a good double in size and the house maid cleaned it thoroughly every morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would use this one again for my next visit.

IrelandLocation is great if you're only planning to visit historical Istanbul but it's not so great especially when you have a family with kids to visit other parts of Istanbul (European side and Asian side), you'd have to do a lot of walking or use taxis, which I would've been okay with if the room was bigger and more modern but it wasn't.
Close to major tourist attractions in historical Istanbul, good rooftop breakfast with a sea view in an area where all restaurants are expensive and pretty much similar.

United StatesThe hotel is in need of a lot of maintenance and upgrades, and a lot more TLC. Just a bit run down. For example, in our bathroom the shelf under the sink was broken and pieces hanging off. Looks terrible. I'd not have minded if we'd paid half what we did, but the cost was high. So not a good value. The hotel needs lots of upgrades and repairs. I think there are other hotels in the area that are a better value. Azade Suites is not a good value because the prices for rooms are too high for what it is.
The location can't be beat. So close to things we wanted to see, with an amazing view from our room, great restaurants in the area. Staff was always friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was great. Rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable, and ac worked very well. We enjoyed our stay, since it was such a good location, and the people very nice.

GeorgiaEntrance, corridor and stairs' area of the building dirty and with lot of supplies like eggs, new and used bed linens etc. Room was very dirty, seems they used not to clean it for 2-3 weeks. Dust was everywhere. Sockets were not provided near every bed, as promised ("Socket near the bed") while booking, and there were not Child safety socket covers. Heating Machine room was juts in front of our room, with lot of noise. Bathroom door look was out of order and was not repaired even I have informed the reception and manager and was promised that it will be repaired. Bathtub glass door fell down while using the bath and child damaged the leg. Window locks were not working properly, we were unable to completely close one window. Elevator was out of order on second day, whole day from the morning till the evening and no one from personnel even noticed it, until I informed them at the reception. Then the receptionist helped to fix it. Tried to order Bosporus tour at the reception and they provided "special" price which was twice as much as usual standard price (they told 150 EUR, while booking.com offered 75 EUR).
Location is excellent and breakfast was also good.
