Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaGreat location as it is near the metro station and about 15 minutes walk from Konak and piers. If you like the Alsancak area, then this is not the place as it is about 30 minutes walk or by public transport. The breakfast was great and the service was great as well. Great value if you staying more than 5-6 days.

RomaniaThe rooms are a little bit outdated and need some renovation.
Friendly staff, comfortable rooms with air conditioning, On site free parking is excellent in a very crowded city. Breakfast included is a bonus, the food was acceptable, nothing fancy, enough to continue our trip after one night to rest.

United KingdomThe staff just dismissed us, saying there's no availability. However, I was able to book 2 rooms on here. Breakfast is average. Rooms doesn't look like the pictures. Room with 2 single beds has minimal walking space and bathroom very small. Room For 3 guests was larger and had walking space with a decent size bathroom.
Good location. Restaurants around and was about a 20minute walk to the promenade. Has free private parking. Booked 2 rooms for 5 guests for 1 night only.

BulgariaThe walls are rather thin and it is easy to hear if the neighbours are louder or what is happening at the passageway. The breakfast was very mediocre and the coffee was poor.
The hotel is in a very good location in the centre of old Izmir, which puts all the sights in the city within walking distance. Additionally, the available parking makes it comfortable to travel by car. The room was clean and tidy and was serviced every day. The heating was excellent even at times during the night it was too hot. The staff was excellent with good English.

United KingdomMy bathroom was very small, and I had a zip-and-link bed rather than a purpose double which is less comfy (other rooms had proper double beds). Main issue is that surrounding area is poor and run-down, fine for seasoned travellers but not ideal for newcomers, especially perhaps young women on their own.
This was a long time favourite hotel not visited for many years. Great location as regards Basmane station and also for some tourist attractions such as Agora and Kemeraltı Bazaar. Garden is a bonus in inner city and means rooms at back are surprisingly quiet for such a central location. Also has car park. Very good breakfast especially considering reasonable price.

AustraliaFront office staff cannot really speak English, quite difficult to communicate with them (seems a bit rude, but probably because they didn't speak well). The young house keeping didn't smile at all (too bad for hospitality service). We spent about 6 days with the same breakfast (bit boring with the lack of options).
Room is clean and spacious. Heater was good enough during winter. They provided us with Turkish breakfast everyday. They have cats, kids really love them. It has small lift and the housekeeping (an old guy) helped with our luggages. Location is really strategic (near to markets and shops). It has plenty parking spots.

PortugalThis hotel looks extremely old. For example, the hairdryer was ancient. No soundproof. The mattress was very hard and the pillows were too small. I also saw the staff rearranging the breakfast food with their bare hands even though there were pliers there for the food, and this was the same staff that cleaned the tables.
Staff was nice and saved our bags after checkout. They also have someone help you carry your bags to your room. The hotel is well located, 5m walking distance from the metro/train station. You can find several restaurants and supermarkets nearby.

AustraliaExtremely bad cigarette smell in the hotel and especially the room next door. The laundry service suggested by the hotel ripped us off, down the road it was less than half the price we paid.

Romania- internet was very bad ( I had to ask every day multiple times the reception to turn on and off the router otherwise the internet wouldn't work) - the room was close to a minaret, and the isolation on the window wasn't great so out of the blue, I could hear at 5 am the call to prayer. No issues with that, just the isolation factor would have helped. - the light in the room comes only from a reading lamp which makes the coverage quite hard.
- the place has a very professional kind of feeling - staff was very helpful with everything - breakfast time span and options were very broad which made it great - room had everything you needed
