Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MalaysiaMay be the staff can improve their communication in English language.
We were comfortable in Emin hotel. But only few staff can speak English. Fortunatly Mr. Elvin in reception speaks English and he was very nice person and helped alot. And one of the staff can speak Arabic. The place is close to public transport and many facilities are available around the hotel area.

RomaniaThe hotel is located in a bit of a rough area but it's not as bad as it looks. We didn't feel unsafe. It was kind of loud outside until 11 PM.
The hotel room was clean and looked as expected. The staff was nice, especially Elvin from reception who was very friendly and welcoming.

United KingdomBuffet could be better with different options for different days as someone staying for several days gets bored with the same menu everyday.
The location is relatively good. General cleanliness satisfactory. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially Receptionist Elwyn (I think that was the name?).

PolandIn general, no complaints. The tea cups could be bigger. No coffee available in the room but you can get a nice cup of coffee everywhere in Istanbul.
The hotel met my expectations. The bathroom and the room were clean and modern. The beds were comfortable. Although the street was busy, it was quiet. Air-conditioning worked. The staff was friendly and helpful - we had a bike to store for 5 nights. I highly recommend it.

AlgeriaI spent a week at this hotel and really enjoyed my stay. The place was very clean, well-maintained, and overall very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only small downside was that the room felt a bit small, but everything else made up for it. I would definitely recommend it

CanadaThe rooms at Emin Palace are noticeably smaller than they appear in the photos, but overall, they are acceptable for a short stay. However, I did notice some mold in the shower, which should be addressed by management. Breakfast was decent, but it is served on the terrace from 8 AM, and by 9-10 AM the food looked stale and was not replenished, leaving some of my guests with very limited options by 9:30 AM. A small inconvenience — the hotel only provides one key card per room as standard, and even getting a second one required a bit of insistence, which was unexpected and inconvenient for a group stay. Unfortunately, our experience with the person who identified himself as the owner/manager was very disappointing. Despite bringing a group of 20 people across 10 rooms, I was treated in an unprofessional and rude manner when trying to check in my family. This level of service was shocking, especially compared to how well the other staff handled our stay. The manager could learn a lot from his colleagues about how to treat guests with respect and kindness.
The housekeeping team was fantastic — friendly, kind, and very helpful throughout our stay. Special thanks to Mohamed and the gentleman with the beard who checked us in on the night of July 3rd — both were absolutely outstanding, professional, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They are true examples of excellent hospitality. The location is fantastic, central and convenient for sightseeing, though it can be a bit noisy for light sleepers. We didn’t mind, but others might.
