Noise till the late hours from the restaurants below,and trams, but that is due to the central location.

Very central location, within 5 minutes walk to all best attractions, for that the hotel is great. What’s not so great that is quite noisy till the late night, but other than that very good.

Everything.. 1.The location. 2min to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, tram station etc etc 2. The staff. Super friendly n supportive 3. The room. Great comfort for 4 pax 4. The facilities.. Everythings there for u. 5. The breakfast.. Superb Turkish bfast buffet.. 6. Was on fasting the last day of ramadhan.. The hotel made special arrangement for sahoor plate at 4am and take the extra alert by calling my room at 4am to get us filled up for the ramadhan.. Very good! I read many comments on noise of tram,i don't see a problem.. Not that bad..

It is located right in the middle of all the cool tourist spots. And guess what? It's literally surrounded by tons of shops and cafes. Also, there's this pedestrian area nearby, just a short walk away. It's packed with amazing restaurants, and the vibe there is incredible — lots of live music and such a lively atmosphere. It's like the perfect spot to hang out and soak in the city vibes.

location, staff, cleanliness, they provide transportation card for metro, tramway and bus. you can't find better location in Sultanahmet better than Faros hotel, it's very close to restaurants, shopping, metro stations, and if you get bus from the airport you get off in Aksaray station then you walk maybe 15 min to your hotel.

Everything was good

The location is in the old town, very close to all the interest points. The bus station is in 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The furniture was a bit old, but the room was very clean. The towels were changed every day and the room cleaned. The restaurant was lovely, the food was delicious (if you are staying in the hotel you can get a -20% off) and the staff was very pleasant and polite.

The staff, even before we arrived, were very attentive and helpful. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The location was superb! It's very centrally located and the tram station is just outside the hotel. The hotel restaurant is one of the best we went to - we dined there every night since we arrived. One of the best dish is the garlic bread!

Faros Hotel Old City is an absolute gem. Its central location means that so much is within easy walking distance. My room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant is outstanding and offers a broad array of dishes all beautifully presented. But best of all was the staff from the front desk (Murat, Jakob, Omar, Dimer) to the cleaning lady (Hulya) to the restaurant. All individuals were delightfully helpful, always smiling, and so hardworking. I definitely intend to return. In short, I highly recommend this hotel if you want your Istanbul stay to be a truly comfortable and memorable experience.

Maybe it doesn't happen frequently, but I'm lactose intolerant, and they didn't have any vegetal or lactose free milk for breakfast, so I had to go to Starbucks next door every morning for my coffee with oat milk.

The best hotel we could have ever asked for! Special thanks to Yokub bey, Omar bey, and Demir bey for the kindest and most welcoming stay. The food, room, location was perfect it exactly where you need to be if you want to see everything on the European side of Istanbul. Special thanks to the staff at Faros to making our stay extremely comfortable with tea and wonderful attentiveness. Thanks to the staff we were also able to watch a football match which is an impossible task for a foreigner to figure out alone. It started our Turkiye trip off in a magnificent way.

The only potential disadvantage of staying in the middle of the busy historical part of the town is noise from the nearby restaurants. People were sometimes having great time long into the night. However, if like us, this is the style you prefer, it only adds to the charm of this unique place.

The hotel is located in the middle of the old town. Despite having an accident on the first day of our four days trip (twisted knee) and being forced to explore the town on a hired wheelchair we thoroughly enjoyed our short visit to Istanbul. This is mainly due to the extremely helpful staff in the hotel and people around. Because of that I didn’t feel that I missed out on anything. We were able to visit all the major historical sites. Having a restaurant just downstairs serving excellent local food also came in extremely handy.
