To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

DenmarkUpon arrival at the hotel, we were disappointed to discover that the room assigned to us did not match the specifications we had booked more than a month before. Instead of a twin bed on a high floor with a street view, and a triple deluxe room we were provided with a family room with a connection door on the first floor. They changed our room next day morning and we didn't get any refund for our first night. The staff didn't even help us to move our luggages to our new rooms. They asked us to bring our luggages down ourselves and bring it to our new rooms considering that it was a big mistake from their side. We got a room at 7th floor with a street view but don't expect to have a good view at all.
Location of the hotel was great. It was very close to Taksim square and Istiklal street. We enjoyed the breakfast and free high tea.

Bell boy Hakim went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. He used his initiative to catch a taxi for us and bartered with the driver on our behalf. He ensured our luggage was safe while we were away for 3 nights. Excellent. Thank you. Guest Relations Manager Kubra was attentive to detail and spent time with guests, again very open to supporting with any issues raised. Front desk staff Burak tried his best to support with issues, even at 2AM. He greeted me with a smile and explored various options to help. Night Manager Rafik has a wealth of experience in running the hotel. He was supportive also. All of the above was implemented through the guidance, tutelage and support of Day Manager Yunus Bey. Nothing was too difficult for him. He went above and beyond in supporting me with some small issues. When I return to Istanbul from UK, I will be sure to return to Golden Age Hotel, purely due to the excellent service I received from Yunus Bey. He welcomed us and cared for us like family, and extended his generosity to us and went out of his way to ensure our stay was memerable. Thank you very much for this. The location of the hotel was perfect also - 2 mins walk from Taksim square, Metro station and automated metro connecting to tram service. 5 mins walk from Havaist bus stop for connections to and from IST and SAW airports. I would be sure to recommend this hotel to all readers, family and friends.
