Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelarusWhat we didn’t expect that the entrance to the terrace was not directly from the room, you should go one more floor up. That wasn’t very convenient.
We stayed in this hotel not the first time. We came back because we liked our previous stay here. The only change: our room was in the annex building, the room with terrace. Same as previous time the staff was on the top: very attentive, helpful and caring of us. Special thanks we want to say to Ibrahim for his support and help that come even before we asked about it. Breakfasts in the hotel are served on the terrace with a beautiful view on Istanbul. They are delicious, you can find everything you need to feel a pleasant morning. The room was cleaned every day. That was a pleasant surprise. The room itself is very simple and not big.

LebanonWe had a lovely stay there, the staff were very polite, accommodating and informative, they even taught us some new words in Turkish, gave good recommendations, all of them were brilliant people. We got given a free upgrade on arrival, free teas as well. Location is good as you’re close to all the main attractions, and public transport.

United KingdomThe cleanliness could have been better. One ear stick was tuck in the heather ( don't know who put it there to dry and housekeeping didn't bother to clean it!). Also, the package with the boat trip was at 1 Price and when we booked it they said they changed it, charged us an extra 5 pounds/pers and the next day they put the same price as before. I would be careful with booking with them again. Plus the Booking.com policy is that you can cancel the booking with x amount of days before the booking but here you just couldn't as it came with extra cost! Cancelling was more expensive than the hotel! The food was very good, can't complain! The staff was friendly too except the 5 pound scam
The view was amazing from the room and the location is excellent!

AustraliaJust to get this out of the way- I would absolutely stay here again- and am planning to when I next visit Istanbul. The hotel has a great vibe in a perfect location, and the best view you could hope for in Istanbul. The breakfast is simple and fresh and again has a perfect view. The hotel is a restored Ottoman mansion which I absolutely loved- everything was totally authentic from the creaky floorboards to the dated decor. The staff are super helpful given the old building is split leveled and of course there are no lifts anywhere. The place is rough around the edges which again just adds to the authenticity, and yet clean and comfortable. Its a few minutes from Suleymaniye- one of my favourite spots in Istanbul, and also a few minutes from all modes of public transport You need to know that amazing location and gorgeous views come with a drawback- the place is located up a VERY steep hill. For me this was great as was good for fitness, but may be difficult for some on foot. There is also a metro line that runs directly under the hill the property is on- so expect some noise if you are a light sleeper. I personally had no issues as was too tired from all the exploring!!

KazakhstanIt was quite cold in the room in January, and got cold.
I liked the history of the property, that it was built for an aristocratic woman. Thus it looks very old fashionable. I liked the spectacular view on the golden horn I beheld on the terrace.

RomaniaThe WiFi connection was very poor and unstable. The apartment was downhill from the hotel, and it’s a very steep hill, so the breakfast is not easily accessible and it’s definitely not disabled-friendly. The 2 beds that were supposed to make up the queen-size bed were very uncomfortable.
The staff and service were amazing. We got there at 4 a.m. and they received us and helped us check in immediately. The property had everything you needed for a short trip, and the breakfast was simple but enough to start your day in a good mood, plus the view from the hotel and from your breakfast table is stunning! 😊

PortugalUnfortunately, some aspects of the room and hotel require a bit of extra care. The bathroom had a weird smell and didn't had sufficient air renewal. Some parts of the terrace furniture were broken. The hotel is close to the subway but the streets are very dark and there's not sufficient indications for the hotel. It took us almost 1h to find the place (google points to a wrong location)
The staff was very nice, and the view was incredible!!! Breakfast was nice and tasty

SpainWe were hosted in the Annex building, which actually has a better location compared to the main building (3 min walk up on a steep hill). However, compared to the pictures on Booking, don't expect the same thing. It was all clean and beds very comfortable, but the bathroom was very badly organized. The sink was super small, shoebox size, and it was impossible not to get wet every time we used it. The hanger was broken so impossible to hang your clothes and towels when showering, so you really have to put everything on the toilet which is right next to the shower, so very easy to get everything wet. However, there was good water pressure and very warm.
The best was the view, the location, and the breakfast. The view speaks for itself, the location very close to public transport and within walking distance to Süleymaniye mosque and Egyptian bazaar, in Eminönu area, plenty of fish restaurants to choose from and lots of shopping places at very good prices. The breakfast, wide variety of food, all delicious and Ibrahim especially kind to everybody. Turkish hospitality at very high levels. (Çok teşekkür ederim, Ibrahim!)

United KingdomSuch a big hill .... you need good knees if you are walking . If you use taxis it's OK from the hotel but getting back from the hotel they try to rip you off , so beware... The hotel was great full of charm ... the views amazing 👏. Don't do the evening dinner cruise 😫 over prices and the waiter's want tips and they are not afraid to ask for it and if they don't get it .... then they don't bring you any more drinks . The staff at the hotel are great very helpful 👌

IndiaThe only disadvantage is that the road going up to the hotel is very steep. If you are walking to the hotel, it is quite the challenge. Breakfast was good but basic(mostly cold cuts)
The view from the terrace is absolutely breathtaking!!! You dont need to go to expensive restaurants for a good view if you are staying at this hotel. Very convenient location to all the main tourist sights if you want to experience the city by walking. Mr. Hakan, who is the guest coordinator was very kind and helpful, recommended good nearby sights to to see. Mr. Yasser and Mr. Ibrahim were also very professional staff who made us feel very comfortable.
