Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe stairs are a bit step to get to the entrance with luggage. The staff happily assisted us when leaving. Get the taxi to drop you off at the top of the stairs not the bottom like we did.
Excellent space, great views close to the Tram. Breakfast was excellent.

IrelandThe breakfast was mediocre, which would have been disappointing if we were eating breakfast there every morning. However, the neighbourhood has a lot of great cafés to enjoy an excellent Turkish breakfast as well as mamy other options, which I would recommend to include in your experience, so this wasn't a huge problem for us. I would advise to book a room with a sea view, as this made all the difference. Without it, all of the steps up to the hotel entrance would just be a pain.
The room was spacious and comfortable, and the view of the Bosphorus was spectacular. Yes, the hotel is only accessible up many steps, but if this is not an issue, I think that it is worth it to enjoy the view, so a room with a sea view is highly recommended. The staff were very helpful and attentive in mitigating this by carrying our luggage and offering water amd refreshment whenever we would re-enter the hotel. The location is also close to Taksim and the T1 tram line and the ferry port so it was very convenient for getting around.

On arrival, the reception upgraded our room to one with a beautiful Bosphorus view. Great location as well close to subway, boats, bus and tram, we really enjoyed our stay!

United KingdomThat the pool was completely drained, the outdoor bar was not manned, and the seating area outside was never used with half the tables. Did not look like the images.
I liled how close it was to the main streets and tram lines for accessibility.

Well-located hotel near the Bosphorus, albeit a little outdated – in this case. Short distances to the metro and tram, as well as to some sights. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was very good, but not very varied. The room was very large and satisfactorily equipped.

United StatesMany steps to get to the hotel entrance from the two adjacent streets. But if you take your time and use the railings it makes up for a nice daily exercise.
Great remodeled rooms. Great hot showers with great water pressure. Bedding was super comfortable too. The front desk and kitchen- cleaning staff were super engaged and friendly. Also very close to public transportation, small food stores, and drug stores.

CanadaIt has about 200 steps in front of it so taking your luggage is an unforgettable experience however the staff gladly moved all our 6 luggages 100 steps up and down but still I felt so bad.
This hotel has fantastic view of Bosphorus, specifically in third floor, panoramic. Staff Yashem, Ghodrat and other gentlemen I forgot the name were fantastic. Kind, helpful and attentive.

SpainThere are stairs leading from the street to the property, although the staff kindly assisted with the luggage. However, it may be uncomfortable for guests with mobility issues or back pain.
The property featured a terrace with a great view. The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was well located, close to tram and bus stops, and within easy walking distance of major attractions.

Trinidad and TobagoThe safe in our room was not working. The management needs to replace this please.
Please understand that you have to climb lots of stairs to even reach the lobby of the hotel! I didn’t realize that from my research and when we arrived after midnight following a long day of traveling we had to climb 115 stairs with our suitcases. There is a lot I liked about the hotel but I want others to understand the setup better before booking. The staff were all amazing, helpful, pleasant and very kind! The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The view of the Bosphorus from our room was brilliant! We even saw a sub (Russian?) one morning as we were looking out of our room!🧐 Breakfast was also very good, with a lot of variety. Please take the hotel’s offer of the arrangement for a taxi to meet you at the airport. The price they offer is half of the fare that the other airport taxis quote and their own driver will make your arrival and departure as easy as possible. The hotel’s taxi driver will carry your bags and suitcases from the street to the lobby. Their taxi will also park on the street so you will descend to the lobby about 60 steps. We ended up with a random airport taxi driver who dropped us off on the lower street and we had to climb 115 steps with our suitcases.🥵 Please understand that you must be physically fit, and able bodied to stay at this hotel because there is no way to avoid the many stairs to get to the hotel lobby and your rooms daily after sightseeing, etc.

Family run hotel. Very friendly and welcoming reception. Room 101 is a two bedroom apartment. Our main bedroom was very spacious with views over the Bosphorus for New Year's Eve. Two spacious marble bathrooms. Comfortable bed and lounge area with smart TV. Breakfast was simple and wholesome. Location is a 20 minute walk to Galata tower. Close to Dombalce palace. EgyptThe stairs were hell, you literally have to go up what seems like 6 or 7 flight of stairs to get to the hotel. After a long day roaming the city with 2 kids and a pram, climbing up by the end of the day was quite a challenge. Most of the staff were friendly except a couple who weren’t very friendly.
The location is perfect to say the least. View is extraordinary looking the river.
