Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe property is centrally located near major tourist sites, grand bazaar, and public transportation. The breakfast was also an added bonus with a good selection of options.

FinlandThere's isn't much to dislike. I guess some things like shower sliding doors and showers need to be updated to newer ones as they are dated.
Nice boutique hotel with excellent location, close to public location. The check-in and check-out was very smooth and hassle free. The hotel itself is niche in terms of layout and decor. Nice touch and comfortable rooms. The staff was quite accommodating amd flexible to the requests, for example, I had to leave early for the airport before the breakfast time, yet the staff in the restaurant had already started putting up the breakfast before the breakfast opening time. I didn't grab the breakfast though, coz I am not much of a breakfast person. Coffee did work though.

United KingdomNothing.
Everything at Hotel Niles was perfect. Prompt responses from staff before my stay with any questions I had, a spacious room with incredible water pressure in the shower, awesome breakfast options on the beautiful rooftop and located in one of the best spots in Istanbul - close enough so you can walk to everything, but still a little out of the way so you get to experience Turkish life and culture. 10/10 stay. The complimentary Turkish Tea and Turkish Delight on arrival was a nice touch as well, as was the small gift at the end of the stay.

United KingdomBathroom was a little small and the door wasn't really a door but nothing you can do! Also the key attached to the electronic key was a little annoying when you tried to open/lock the door. But nothing too major! Perhaps give these things separate?
Beautiful hotel, great value in heart of Istanbul. The interior decor and customer service was astounding, it was genuinely so beautiful and authentic. We were greeted with turkish tea and turkish delights even though we arrived at the hotel well after 1am. Shuttle service to and from was excellent and efficient - highly worth the 50 euros to be honest as Istanbul traffic and public transport was too stressful to try navigate. The breakfast provided was very good. Quite basic but had some really yum treats and overall healthy. Beautiful view/terrace as well. The rooms itself were good size and comfy. Bathroom was a little on small side and the door is more a glass separator than anything but it was fine. About a 15min walk to the major Mosques and on the other side almost a 4min walk to the Bazaar. Really cool spot. Highly recommend!

United States of AmericaHotel is clean and local traditional style. Building is old so rooms are small with minimal surface area for luggage. I believe the suites have more room.
Location was fantastic, walked to all places. Hotel in local street shop environment. Staff helpful and friendly!

PeruNo taxi access if you want to go out of the tourist part of town.
The breakfast was very good. The location was very good because you are near all the places you want to visit as a tourist. You just need to be ready for the cultural shock and consider that there is no taxi access to get to the hotel. Only airport taxis are allowed in that area until 10:00PM

United States of AmericaThe boat just went out 400 meters and then began to spin in the middle of the bay. It was unsettling and somewhat of a joke. Then the boat managers of the dinner charged our cards 143 euros each instead of 120 each. They claimed it was the credit card company’s charge, so we paid with cash and they said it was the same charge. We had to argue with them to get our money back. So for 240 euros it was not worth the experience.
We paid €120 to go on the boat and dinner experience. It was a nice atmosphere but not worth the money.

United States of AmericaShower is very small which can be a problem for a big and tall person. Towels are very old and worn out. Noisy neighborhood which I guess is expected for being in the old town. No AC in common areas such as the restaurant and the lobby. Breakfast selection is not the greatest. The property has power issues which makes using the elevators risky. We experienced a 6 hours power failure one evening while there.
Helpful staff. Rooftop terrace.
