Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Our room had a bad smell like a blocked drain. The furniture was a collection of all sorts including an enormous and elaborate bed head that spanned the entire room. (It seems more is more in Turkey). With so much stuff cleanliness is wanting. There were some very suspect corners.
The location in the old quarter close to the historic district was perfect for us. The breakfast was mostly Turkish and very good. The restaurant was excellent with beer and wine available. Our friends ordered meat served in a clay pot. Serving was a very special performance with dramatic flames and drumming and tapping of the top of the pot to remove it.

Very nice staff and the rooms are very clean. Air conditioning in the room. I was very satisfied with the stay. You can't say anything for the price. The location is perfect, man can reach the city center in 5 minutes on foot.

They can update their services a bit more.

Old rooms. We had sea view rooms but it is not a sea view.
For a very good price as a Genius 3 with free breakfast was reasonable. 10 min walk from Blue Mosque. Breakfast was good.

The best cozy hotel I have ever seen in Sultanahmet region. The staff was extremely helpful, location was perfect & the most important for me the cleaning was perfect. We walked everywhere in just 10 minutes such as Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar & it is very close to Tram station. We`ll definitely visit this beautiful hotel next time. Just be aware the economy rooms are under and some of them don`t have window but for a short stay it`s manageable.

Room and specially toilet was not cleaned the 4 nights we were at the hotel. Only towels were changed. A 5 year old can make a bed better. Housekeeping staff can do better!
Location was great and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom facilities were old and the shower and bathroom floor was peeling off and had yellow stains. There was dust and papers behind the dresser and fridge. The kettle had dust inside and outside. We didn't use it. The room size is just ok for 2 people.
The staff were very helpful. Especially the people at reception. They even assisted in arranging our transfer to our next hotel in the city. The shower was very good and the bed very comfortable. It had a lift/elevator

Bathroom was NOT cleaned daily. I asked at the front desk - they put toilet paper in the bathroom but still did not clean the bin with the toilet paper? We were unaware that our room had NO windows
Breakfast was ok Staff were excellent - very helpful Staff arranged an enjoyable tour for us Hotel is well placed - easy access to shops etc

Slight mix up with our rooms so we (2 couples) had to share a family room the first night then we got moved the next day to our own rooms, the staff were helpful and moved our belongings whilst we were out for thr day. Bathroom needed some attention, reported the toilet seat was broken but sadly not fixed during our trip and just needed a general re grout/ sealing in places.
Amazing location, has an on-site restaurant but is within a 5/10 min walk of all the hustle and bustle. Everything we needed was in walking distance and was able to get leaflets for certain activities/tours from the hotel. Very friendly staff. Hotel rooms were basic but did have what we needed. We didn't eat main meals in the restaurant but the deserts and drinks were thoroughly enjoyed, especially the cocktails. Was night to see the communal cats too ☺️

Splendid position, near to the tram station Ceberlitas, the most important Istanbul highlights (AyaSofia. Blue Mosque Basilica Cistern etc), the grand Bazaar, supermarkets, restaurants etc. Very safe neighborhood Very kind stuff

Given the price there's nothing to complain about
Amazing location. Turned out that almost everything we wanted to see were in walking distance. My experience with hotel staff was absolutely pleasant. One more blanket, safe box, more slippers- no problem. Great breakfasts. Loved it. The restaurant was really good and prices were pretty reasonable.

The bedroom and ensuite were a bit dated.
Very helpful reception staff. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel on our last day as our train didn't leave until late afternoon. Good location for the main sites like the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.
