BEST PLACE TO STAY IN ISTANBUL!

Beyond a shadow of a doubt the best place to stay in Istanbul! The location can not be beat-directly between Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, overlooking the Bosphorus. Their rooftop restaurant has a view that people would pay just to come see the view. Adding to that, the service and attention that Mahmut and his staff give to their guests is second to none! We felt as though we were VIP’s the entire time, and they did not stop at trying to make us happy with our stay and with Istanbul. We wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in Istanbul!!

Out of all the places we stayed in Turkey this had by far the worst breakfast it was so disappointing. We stayed at the Armada and the breakfast there was exceptional, rooftop had amazing views, and they also had ocean or mosque views from every room. Seven Hills had a strange shop setup as you walked in so staff tried to sell you souvenirs as well which I found off putting (of course nothing had price tags on them either). I would recommend the Armada over the Seven Hills.

Location was great. Views from the rooftop were fantastic.

The hotel is located in the western part of Istanbul, just nearby Sultan Akhmet Mosque and park. Dozen of tourist spots are in 5-15 mins by walk. Estern district and Kabatash pier is just 20 mins by tram. So, two major benefits - location and terrace rooftop restaurant with a view. Rooms are pretty small, but clean and fresh.

    Nothing !

The boutique nature of the Hotel was perfect, AND the Staff from the Owner to everyone were amazzzing. BUT the view from the Roof resturant was breath-taking and the FOOD equaled the view. The proximity to the Mosques and the Grand Bazzar was perfect. I would definitely go back there again and again !

The hotel is llitterally 5 minutes walking distance from: Sultanahment, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. The staff are very helpful and super friendly. TV didnt work, but to compensate, they gave us access to another room to watch. Level 3 was below the roof restaurant and although generally good, there was a little noise from above, but not a lot. The service in the rooftop restaurant was a little slow and chaotic at times, but the staff were very friendly and nice and the food was good.

The service was outstanding! In particular I would like to mention Onur who asssited with our visit prior to arrival. In fact all of the staff were so helpful and accomodating. The location is also superb, walking to all the major attractions. It is older/traditional in style, but very nice, and clean. Beds are comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and it was my daughters special birthday so they provided a cake and baloons and other things (not asked for, just provided) and really helped our weekend in Istanbul for her birthday be a special event.

After visiting Istanbul over the last 20 years, the Seven Hills is the best value for money hotel in Istanbul with most likely the best roof top bar and restaurant veiws in Old Constantinople. The staff and hotel make you feel like you are in a home away from home, with a limited number of rooms, I cannot praise it enough and hope the next time I visit they still have a room avialable for me.

Stayed for 10 nights in Nov. 2017. The hotel and rooms were maintained to good standard. Rooms had all the basic amenities and cleaned well each day. Great service by reception and others went out of their way to help whenever requested. Seven Hills is all about "Location" ... very close proximity to key Mosques & Churches, Historic Buildings & Monuments, Museums & Palaces and Squares & Courtyards. Getting further out to the Bazaar Quarter, Seraglio Point and Beyoglu is very walkable. The rooftop restaurant gives excellent views of the Blue Mosque and Haghia Sophia. Surrounding area offers plenty of food options but do your homework on where to find value for money.

The constant walk in photographers who only take a photograph and leave, whilst your having lunch or dinner.

The Sevenhills Hotel is probably the best value for money Hotel in Istanbul, the hotel has undergone improvements since March 2017 and the owner assures me he now intends to keep the upgrades ongoing through out the rest of the hotel. The roof top restauant has without doubt the most spectacular views of the Blue and Hagia Sophia Mosques, only one downside is the constant interuptions of walk in photographers whilst your trying to have a romatic dinner.

Occasionally cigarette smell in the hallway was nauseating, but it never permeated in the rooms or restaurant.

Location is perfect to main attractions. For example Blue Mosque was a 5 minute walk (great for prayers) and walking to Topkapi Palace and Aya Sophia were <5 min. It is close to the tram and Cistern. The Grand Bazaar and spice Bazaar are about a 10 min walk +- 5 min. But the train is nearby. The staff is extremely helpful in directing how to get to different sites. Also our bags did not come in on our flight and Staff was extremely helpful in discussing with airport about our bags etc. Room is clean and comfortable. Honestly we were always gone in the morning and came back in the evening with our rooms cleaned. TV may not work with English channels, but we hardly used it. Internet worked perfectly (maybe had 1 night where it was subpar). Breakfast is decent as far as selection. basic breads, juices, spreads, fruits, honey, Not spectacular, but good enough. A rather gloomy hotel in need of serious updating. The black mould around the edge of the baths in 3 rooms we saw is unacceptable. Don't ever accept a room on the 4th floor; it is right below the restaurant so the scraping of furniture after dinner service (until 2 a.m.) and the preparation for breakfast (from 6 a.m.) will ensure you get no sleep. The restaurant WC and coat storage is on this floor next to the bedrooms. Breakfast was almost inedible - opening a hardboiled egg to find a green yolk was a bit of a shock and finding French fries still frozen in the "hot food warmer" was unappetising. Oh dear!

The staff we encountered were excellent, charming and helpful. They did their best to deal with the problems which stemmed from the run-down nature of the building.

Electric socket hanging from the wall in the bathroom - potentially dangerous. The breakfast was adequate but not exceptional. (the hot section - eggs and sausages was unheated and only barely warm on the first day). Some croissants would have been nice.

The location is central to the old town and most attractions are within easy reach. The staff were very helpful and pleasant and the view from the rooftop restaurant (and for breakfast) was unequalled. The beds were very comfortable and air conditioning was efficient. The shower was good.

Nothing much except that the wifi is a bit slow.

You can get the best view of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia at the hotel terrace restaurant. Friendly hotel staff. Though a bit old, hotel is well maintained.

The location was great; near the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, as well as shopping. The staff were very helpful and even provided an umbrella on a rainy day. I had a later flight, but was able to leave my bags at the hotel while I continued to explore the city. Rooftop restaurant views were amazing, and the food was decent.

Lots of guides and people trying to sell you things, it is a hassle going in and out of hotel as you get approached by so many ppl wanting to sell you stuff or advertise claiming to be related or own the hotel- the guy with the connecting carpet and silver shop basically stalked us every time we left or came back. You really just have to ignore them, but felt constant and uncomfortable.

The location is amazing, everything with 2-5mins walk. Really amazing rooftop- perfect for dinner if you can get place to sit and fish. We were there for sunset and then dinner- amazing is an understatement.

No air conditional. Given the thickness of the cover provided and the heating system either you sleep naked or you cook in the sauna. The remonte control with sur com settings is a big lie. TV with 1 channel in Spanish 1 in English all other channels includding international ones with sound only in Turkish. All TV instructions in Turkish. If it wasnt from the friendliness of the staff id have watched no TV at all. Turkish only in the Hart of the touritic área!?

Staff very helpful and friendly. Late checkout possible (post midnight) Fantástico location
