Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWe were very happy to stay in this hotel and we got the best room at the 4th floor, so we hope to stay there again next time!
This boutique hotel is only one block away from Aya Sophia and busy tourist streets, so it is very easy to get around by foot or by tram. Personnel is very friendly and helpful, providing personal treatment to all guests- and we were several times delighted by nice small gifts of souvenirs and delicacies. Breakfast takes place on the top of the hotel, with a great view to Aya Sophia and Bosphorus.

United States of AmericaLoved our stay at White House Hotel Istanbul!! The staff is so attentive and helpful… most especially Kemal, Enes and Malik. They were full of information to guide us through our travels. They also warned us of where to stay away from. Our room was decorated for us when we arrived and had glasses of orange juice. The bed was comfortable, bathroom is very nice! The rooftop breakfast area was nice and cozy and was heated. They have a nice Turkish spread! The owner just knocked on our door and brought us a beautiful display of beautiful strawberries and a little cake! Amazing! The location was fantastic… so much to see!! Internet is perfect. We recommend this hotel highly and will definitely stay here again! Update: We were chatting and I mentioned that I would enjoy bananas at breakfast and he had this plate of bananas brought over to me the next morning! Talk about excellent customer service 🥰

IrelandHonestly, there was very little to dislike about this stay. The only thing I can think or is perhaps a little more variety in the breakfast would have been nice, but it's a good basic breakfast.
The hotel was amazingly situated and the staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive. We were even allowed to have a free late check out as our flight was later in the day upon our departure, which made a huge difference for us. The hotel staff also recommended amazing places to eat, rang taxis for us when we needed to get somewhere, and overall treated us with an incredible amount of carefulness.

United KingdomA very special place indeed. Centrally located to see all the local sites within a few minutes walks. Lots of restaurants nearby and even supermarkets which is even more important with two small children! The staff were very very attentive and made our stay easy and enjoyable. A special mention goes to the hotel owner Harun for his generosity and making sure our stay was to our expectations and also to the hotel manager Malik who checked in with us every day to give us ideas, hints and tip as well as general chit chat :). Also to mention the exceptional service received from Omer, Onur, Kemal, Harry Potter, Breakfast Manager and the lovely lady who worked with him. Definitely worth staying here if you are visiting Istanbul.
