Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomUnfortunately the spa and pool was closed, however the hotel gave us a room upgrade for one room (we were a party of four and had two stand doubles ) because we had chosen this specific hotel for the facilities and the style. The new room was much more spacious than the standard doubles, it had a king size bed and included a bath. It was equally as comfortable. The only downside was that it overlooked the side of the hotel where the trams run late and early in the morning, the street below is very busy as it is a main high Street. If you like a quiet location ask for a room away from this side of the building. For us it wasn't a problem as we were out a lot and the trams reduced in frequency after 10pm, they do begin again early. The windows seemed to be thin despite being double glazed and at first we thought the windows were open it was very loud while the street was busy and the shops were open. The spa did reopen on our last day and I can confirm it is lovely, we enjoyed a traditional hammam and steam room, sauna and massage. The pool and jacuzzi was still closed but it looked great.
The crown plaza is a fascinating building with traditional style so you feel like a hotel away rather than a hotel with interior decor that is the same style as anywhere. We wanted to feel like we were on holiday in Istanbul not in a hotel that could have been back home in England, That is something we didn't want especially as my husband travels a lot with work. The crown plaza has a stunning interior style and you are immersed into an Ottoman empire with modern elegance. The lobby has shops selling clothes, souvenirs, and hairdressers, there is security at the entrance to prevent unsolicited Street sellers coming inside, which is great. Upon arrival we were greeted by a member of staff who took our luggage and brought it to the rooms check in was thorough and we received plenty of information we would need for our stay, it was late and the staff were very helpful. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and it was hard to get up early for our excursion, because the bed was so nice. We took two standard doubles, one located on the front of the building which looked out above the front door, the street is a quiet street so it was fine and one at the rear with no views other than the rooftop it was lovely and quiet. The concierge organised a trip up the mountain for us and it was fantastic, we had our own driver all day and saw many sights, including the cable cars up to the top of the mountain/ski resort. The trip was well worth the money for four people, we went to the silks factory and Turkish delight shop, a small village bazaar and on the ferry too, our driver was very patient and kind, nothing was too much trouble. We didn't eat an evening meal in the restaurant but saw many people doing so and it looked good, the breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices.

United States of AmericaThe room could be more clean, the bath accessories are old and does not work properly. The room sound insulation is not good and you can hear everything that happens outside (especially several mosques around)
The room was good, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the spa was great. The location is good, not far from the tram line T1 and it is easy to get to the center and main attractions.

United KingdomWe booked a room with breakfast on booking.com however upon arrival we were told that our stay didn’t include breakfast which was a big disappointment, furthermore they asked us for €15 each per day which we thought was not on. Despite the hotel being posh ad on the higher end, the decor and furniture is in a great need for renewal and a make over.
The location was great, the hotel room was big, the beds nice and comfy.

AustraliaMy shower leaked water onto my carpet in the main room, which wasn’t major though it smelt a little, but I just opened the windows while I was out to clear it. A shop owner in the foyer of the motel all but trapped me in his shop trying to force me to buy things then tried to take me out for a ‘2 minute walk’ to his shop which I ended up having to forcefully say no to
Location was excellent, I walked everywhere I went. The motel has a great spa and wellness centre on the lower level also. Very friendly housekeeping staff

United KingdomThe only problem I felt was that the little bar/restaurant area that they had was overpriced with limited food options. The food was very average and at nearly £10 a pint it made the prices in London seem cheap! They do however have a happy hour 5-7 which was a small consolation.
Overall a good stay here and very much worth the price I paid. The hotel is very well presented, albeit initially hard to find, tucked away down the side of a street. The staff upon arrival were very friendly and efficient at checking me in and the friendliness and efficieny was something that was consistent through out my stay. My room was clean and stocked with ample bathroom amenities. The hotel is situated perfectly for sight seeing, the main sights are only a 20/25 minute walk away and the grand Bazaar is roughly 10 minutes away. My only gripe about the area is there aren't really any restaurants or bars in the area so in the evening it can be a little tough to find somewhere to eat if you don't fancy heading into taksim or eating a kebab from one of the vendors across the road.

Saudi ArabiaThe bf spread could have been little more better, i am not saying its bad but they could have added few more items. There were no proper accessories in bathroom like detal kit was missing etc.. nothing really to complain about !!!
we got upgraded to club room on arrival. during check in they found that my kids ( 5yr and infant) were with us so they arranged a cot and crib for us. we arrived at 10am and even though standard check in time is 2pm they made my room ready at 11am. The hotel, its location, facilities, courtesy of every single employee, their commitment to helping guests, the way they greeted us every single time made us feel special. i will definitely stay here next time and i will definitely recommend this hotel to others. Tram was literally 2mins from property, bus and metro stations were 10mins walk. you can even walk to grand bazaar form here. all necessary things were available at immediate vicinity, i guess that's big benefit of this location.
