Great location, fantastic staff, and cute retro decoration

the front desk staff (gentleman with a beard) was incredibly helpful and kind. He shared a bunch of food recommendations with me and they were all great. He also carried my bag upstairs. the room is cute - retro with an old phone that actually works, and a comfy bed. The bathroom is a little rudimentary but the shower is hot with good water pressure. For the cost of this hotel, it was an incredible bargain! Very closely located to some great food and bars, quiet and comfy. Highly recommend.

The bathroom is small and the shower is not separated from the toilet, which means that showering leaves the entire bathroom wet. I don't really enjoy that personally.

Check-in was super easy and the bed was very comfortable. The location is unbeatable as it's close to NingXia Night Market, the Red Line, and very cool streets. Dadaocheng is a cute neighborhood and the accommodation is very well situated and comfortable. Nice cross breeze with the window.

Ambient light from the TV & kettle & light switches. There were multiple wifis available to connect to but sometimes none of them would work. If the A/C wasn't on then the room would get a bit humid.

Location (there's really good food across the street, really close to Ningxia night market), cleanliness, hot showers, comfortable beds. Really helpful staff, convenient 24/7 in/out access.

just an observation: The room worked great for me, as a solo traveler. 2+ people and the small room could get a little harder to move around in. For me it was perfect.

Excellent location! - an easy walk to Dihua Street shops, food, etc and the Nixhia night market. Staff was friendly and the neighborhood got nice & quiet at night. Bed was very comfy! Rooms cleaned daily as needed. Internet and heat/AC worked great. A few narrow steps upstairs to the room required, it didn't bother me/not an issue.

Separate bathroom sink faucet (for face/hand wash) of hot and cold water. It's probably more inconvenient in wintertime. Little bit far from the metro station.

Spacious room, patio, and convenient store located nearby. 3 minutes walking distance for bus stop.

I loved this hotel so much I stayed here two different times on my trip! The hotel is truly so, so vintage and gorgeous. The interiors are really beautiful, it’s also in a really interesting neighbourhood, and the room itself is really nice. It’s also immaculately clean. The staff are really nice and will help you with your luggage upstairs. I’m usually not someone who spends vacation in their hotel room, but this one tempted me!

Rooms at the front can be noisy, both from the street and room next door. Bathroom design needs improvement as everything gets wet during shower and there’s nowhere to put your stuff.

The counter in the hotel is not staffed for many hours during the day. Not a problem for me, but just something to be aware of.

    Cool. Clean & Central(ish)

The room was extremely compact - so much so that I had a bit of a hard time figuring out where to lay down and open my bag. So, if you're traveling with big luggage, prepare for some difficulty (there's also no elevator). Also, while the location is central, you have to walk about 15 minutes to reach the nearest MTR station, which is a bit far. The mattresses are also quite hard - I sleep on my side and had to keep turning over at night so my hips wouldn't get sore. This is a fairly common problem for me in SE Asia, though, and the bedding was good otherwise.

The cool, ran-down look of this hotel is all for show; in reality the room was very, very clean - probably the cleanest hotel I've stayed in this whole year! (And I travel a lot.) The longer-haired receptionist was also brilliant - he had kindly carried my bag all the way upstairs for me and even gave me an adapter, when it turned out my "universal" adapter didn't actually fit Taiwanese sockets. It's also an easy walk away from the Airport train terminal and close to one of Taipei's many night markets. I did even walk to Ximending and back one evening - which was a bit of a long walk, but definitely possible. So, it is really quite central.
