Given the right expectations, there is nothing not to be liked.

It is a huge property which is past its glorious hey days but the view from the room over the valley was gorgeous. Even though breakfast was basic, I did not lack anything. It was especially nice to fly a sky lantern offered by the hotel.

The brothers running the place we're very kind and accommodating. They also facilitated lantern experience for us at the resort. The location is within walking distance to the Shifen waterfalls and to the old street, very convenient home base if you want to explore the Pingxi district. The place is clean and comfortable to stay at and they even have us a ride to the train station after we checked out.

Quiet location with a beautiful view of the valley to watch sky lanterns. We opted for the dinner option and breakfast; both meals were very enjoyable.

Staff were super friendly. We arrived at the train station thinking that we could walk to the hotel but it was raining quite heavily and we had to call the hotel for pick up. The reception immediately sent a vehicle to pick us up (with clear instructions on where to wait). The uncle who drove us also sent and picked us to and fro the waterfall. When we were about to be late for our breakfast, the staff assured us that there would still be food for us. The resort was quiet and had some interesting installations and photo spots. Our stay had a sky lantern included, which we could take our time to write our wishes in the evening when we return in the evening and fly it in the night, instead of doing it at the railway track with everyone else. Big thanks to the great service!

Some people in our group found the beds too hard, some us loved them though. There's quite an ascent to the resort that might be challenging for some people, but parking ia located on the top so you can always go by car.

Very charming staff composed of what seems to be a troup of retired people, always helpful, calm, and smiling. They gave us a sky lantern and help us to paint it and release it. Awesome green surroundings with the fresh sound and smell of nature all around the place day and night. The compound has a really wide set of attractions perfect for kids, from the swimming pool with slides to a sky train powered by cycling.

Facilities are a bit run down.

Rooms are spacious. Free pick up to and from shifen train station and shifen waterfall. Very amiable and friendly folks running the place. Even provides 1 free sky lantern for experience.

Location was great. Just a short walk to the old street and to the Shifen Waterfall park. Parking that was free was available on site. Breakfast was traditional Taiwanese and good. Those who ran the hotel were very nice and pleasant and I really appreciated them. I also love that a lantern was included in stay and then taking the time to walk me through and record video for me. Room was very comfortable. Very easy to find. Overall would recommend.

at the exit of the hotel you have to go through a place with 2 aggressive barking dogs not on leashes, pretty scary.

It is a bit far away from the train station but with the free transport service it makes it up.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. They drive us around whenever we need them, without a fees. There are quite a number of activities for us to kill times and also provide us with a free lantern . Great service.

The Bed is too hard n the place is pretty old

the people running the place are very friendly and helpful. They live up to the name of the place “Very Blessed” . They drove us to the near by attractions.

The entrance road from the hotel security guard house to the hotel premises is quite steep. Not suitable for elderly to walk up. If you drive a car, shouldn't be any problem.

Nice and cool surrounded with beautiful hills. The breakfast and dinner were superb and tasty suited to my whole family. The staff was helpful and friendly. One of the friendly staff name 'Wu Ge' (五哥) helped to pick us up at Shifen train station/old street during the heavy rain and cool day when we want to return back to the hotel after visiting the tourist site in the evening. The hotel provided free lantern to light up and release it to the sky too. Well done !

The staff at this homestay were wonderful! They picked us up from the train station which while close was an excellent bonus as it was pouring rain. The breakfast was good and we were sent home with mini lanterns as a souvenir. The room (family room) was extremely spacious and while the beds were a bit hard it was perfect for what we needed!

A/C can't really use remote control to increase this temperature, we have to move the inner bed to sleep , and I think it has bedbugs, owner of this hotel please take note, I really like this place.

the view from our room. big and spacious room. love the siblings that run this place, well maintained facilities, the small little theme park, the swimming pool, all clean and tidy, even the small hiking place behind, bless them and their mom which is 98 years old .
