Location is a little further out. Fairly short but not a very pleasant walk - can be very dark at night also

Lovely modern and clean room - very nicely decorated. Cafe/restaurant had a nice vibe and excellent selection of food. Sunbeds at the beach was great and run by lovely staff.

Only thing I missed was a swimming pool and maybe a small garden where you can sit outside :-)

The breakfast and food in general was absolutely amazing! Fresh fruit, healthy tasty dishes and great coffee. I tried a new dish every morning and loved them all!! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Ahmed drove us around to our different activities and he was super attentive and always on time. Rooms are great - clean and functional. In spite of the hotel being on the main road, there was no noise in the rooms at all.

I recommend booking with complimentary breakfast, as the breakfast was excellent! Staff were helpful and kind. Also liked the reusable water bottles you borrow, and can fill up whenever you need for free

I really loved everything about Bara Bara Eat&Sleep. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm. The wifi must be good, because I have seen people working there on their laptop everyday. The room was small but nice and tidy. It had a toilet and a shower, AC and fan. During the day you have the café where you can hang out, drink a coffee and watch the streetlife of the main road. The coffee is really good by the way, as is everything that's on the menue. The breakfast was out of this world, I never had anything that compares in a hotel. Thanks to the amazing chef! All the staff from reception to cleaning was super friendly, they also helped me when my phone broke and in general fulfilled all my wishes (like having an earlier breakfast as I had to leave in the morning for a daytrip). They made sure I was welcomed when I arrived later at night as anticipated. So: Asante sana to all the amazing people from BaraBara! I will be back :)

one of my requirements was a locker, unfortunately on site it turned out that it did not work. The water in the shower took a very long time to drain, which is why the floor in the bathroom was flooded

Good size room with very comfy bed. Little fridge was very useful. Close to the beach- 10 min walk plus they have access to the sunbeds on the beach. Amazing food.

There are not enough nice words to describe our love for BaraBara. After feeling underwhelmed by a week in Nungwi, we arrived here and the trip was totally transformed. Starting with our first delicious iced coffee. Then every dish on the wonderful menu. Followed by lazy days at the beach which is just down the road. The rooms are always cool, clean and comfortable and the ladies that cleaned for us are so friendly and kind. The owner and all of the staff are so helpful and friendly and make everybody feel so welcome. Not to mention the cats and the little Monkey who pops in from time to time! The breakfast offering is incredible value for money and there wasn’t anything on the menu that we didn’t enjoy. Especially the delicious pizzas. We will be back next year and thank you all so much ♥️

Pros: - breakfast is amazing, you can choose from the restaurant menu - perfect location, near the main road and close to the beach - free sun-beds on the beach - clean room, fully equipped as it was described - owner is very kind and helped us in a difficult situation, our driver didn’t come to take as to the airport. It was 2AM and the owner call somebody to help us with the transfer

Checking in at the restaurant counter felt a bit weird but that is simply the way they work at BaraBara. For that price the quality of the stay definitely was great and I do not have anything else to mention.

Great location with good food just at your doorstep. Also heading to the beach is just a 15' walk away and many other activities can be easily reached by car. Transportation can also be organised by the staff.

It was unclear how to check in when I arrived. Luckily someone outside directed me to the restaurant upstairs. Maybe a sign downstairs would help.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The breakfast was a highlight—amazing food with a great variety of fresh fruit, delicious coffee, and refreshing smoothies to start the day. The hotel also provides complementary sun beds on the beach, which is just a 5-minute walk away, making it super convenient for relaxing by the sea. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly attentive. They went above and beyond to make our stay special, even helping us organize a taxi to our next destination. We accidentally left our sunglasses in the taxi, and the staff kindly arranged to have them returned to us. This hotel offers great value for money, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

BaraBara was one of the best accomodations we have ever been to. Highly recommend to include breakfast, the food and the drinks are amazing. Having breakfast everyday at BaraBara was my favorit part of our stay. Stuff is very nice, helpful and friendly. You have everything you need in the room, the even clean it every 2-3 days for you. 6 out of 5 stars experience!

Room was a bit small. I Recommend the window curtain have the option to open up to bring more light into the room. Shower a bit broken, small faucet pipe sprayed water to toilet area, maybe put a shower curtain or door there

Everything. Especially the inclusive brunch everyday. Location was great, away from the loud area in the center of town and loud beach resorts, but still easy to walk everywhere. Beautiful decor and room decorations and amenities. Friendly and accommodating staff. Room service each day. Filtered water! Save on plastics! Reliable WiFi.
