The bathrooms were a bit dirty. For people who are staying a few of days, the menu is a bit limited and not very diverse.

The locations was amazing! The beach was something else with a stunning view! staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Really made the holiday extra special for us!

Great quiet location on the beach. Right around the corner of an amazing mangrove forest with a sick bar hidden inside. Great waterpressure and powerful aircons. Beef warp tasted amazing in the restaurant

•Air conditioner did not work effectively, it made no difference. •Had no water in our apartment twice- Front desk arranged for us to freshen up in another room. This was disappointing as we had paid a lot to stay here. It was an inconvenience to move our things back and forth between rooms. •Room cleaning services knock and just open the door without waiting for our response. •Christmas dinner, forced to pay $30 per person excluding drinks, with no choice of ordering off the menu.

We had a couple of moments of rain and had to be indoors, there was nothing to do other than sit and wait for the weather to pass. A recommendation would be to offer TVs, microwave and fridge to assist during those times.

The staff were absolutely friendly and the lunch/dinner cook was amazing! The establishment is well kept, what you see in the photos are what you get.

It was difficult getting room service as the room didn't not have a telephone in.

Food was always fresh, well prepared, and very delicious. The premises were neat but more diligence is needed- such as checking above the closets in the rooms to remove any refuse before customers check-in. Too much going on up there! Nevertheless, the high rise room was comfortable and met our expectations.

I’m very happy with my choice of the hotel . Very beautiful place , we were on all popular beaches of Zanzibar and I think that Kae beach definitely one of the beautiful beaches . Even when water is low tide is good place for swimming. Very kind service , we had a problem with the room and hotel manager solved it for us , even gave us upgrade of the rooms . All stuff was very kind and try to help us . The hotel has very nice restaurant and there are 3 more restaurants 5 minute walk from the hotel . I recommend the hotel !!! The best value for money !!!!

From Michamvi we expected at least some remnants of hippie flair, but it's gone. Kae Funk is meanwhile fully commercialised and huge appartment blocks are growing on the major part of the beach. Game over. Not the hotel to blame!

Kikoi is two steps from the beach and all in all everything is pretty much OK. The appartments are spacious and clean (if you don't dig too much in the details). For some reason I don't know we didn't really feel at home, so let's put the blame on Michamvi :)

one point down for only one thing but very important - the water in the bathrooms was salty.

Everything was just perfect and amazing! We felt like at home. Special thanks to Sara and Emanuel for the lovely welcoming and Bday decoration for one of our family members. There were not just apartments but private houses with great view to the palms garden and seaside... I highly recommend the food in the restaurant, the best we had comparing with the places around, and the staff is so nice and dedicated making guests' stay great! Don't miss to try the Seafood plate for two and the Sticky dates cake :)

Amazing hotel, the pictures don’t do it justice. Friendly staff, special shout out to the best house keeper Doto- really appreciated his excellent service and hospitality. Loads of amazing restaurants nearby would definitely recommend the amazing food at the Trench Town restaurant (in the village, 5 mins walk from the hotel). Also all food is halal in the hotel and in all restaurants surrounding it as Zanzibar is 90% muslim.
