There is no restaurant on-site but just 50/100m either side (walking down the beach) you'll find all the food options you need! Electricity went off sporadically (national electricity company turn if off?) but when in paradise does it really matter? Wifi is not strong here, I suggest ensuring you have sufficient data to travel or one of the restaurants on the beach will be able to help.

This is a beautiful property literally stones throw away from the ocean - you could not ask for more! Lodges are a good size, more than comfortable (bring plenty bug spray) and cleaned daily. Surely the best gym in Zanzibar is available right on the beach - this is an amazing stay for locking in.

The narrow bathroom, but it was clean and perfectly functional.

We loved staying at Kinazi Upepo. The location was perfect and it felt like a little jungle oasis with all the beautiful greenery throughout. Paje can be quite busy with a lot going on but after staying for a few days we realized Kinazi was just st the perfect location. We were close enough to be able to walk to all of the most crowded places with a lot going on but just on the cusp of the end of the chaos to feel a bit more private. The room was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very narrow though. The AC worked perfectly and after a few issues when arriving they fixed them right away. Another bonus is their sister lodge, which is a 5 minute walk, where you can use all of their facilities. We spent a few days enjoying their pool which was stunning and super private. The breakfast Kinazi provides is really great and plentiful. It is also a couple doors down from Mr. Kahawa where we really enjoyed eating. Highly recommend!

I arrived in the night.There needs to be someone 24/7 available at a resort like this, to avoid not being able accessing your acco.. (Also in low season) The electricity/ network/ WiFi is often not available. An extra generator would fix this maybe. Candles in the room or a lantern is a necessity A seating possibility outside the accommodation and a chair in the room would lift the accommodation from good to excellent. It is not easy to find the hotel as a tourist by car. Clearer road signs would help the resort being more easy to find.

There were some IT issues with the booking, which made it difficult for us to check in and as we arrived late there was no one to help us for an hour or so. There's no curtains in the bathroom. You need to be aware of this when taking a shower.

it was a pleasant experience to stay at Kinazi. The staff is very service minded and the location is great. The breakfast is very good and you can always come by the bar and ask for water. There's also a gym, which is nice if you wish to exercise a bit.

The breakfast area is not very comfortable. Small bathroom. The terrace doesn’t have a roof, not pleasant when it is raining. No chair in the room.

-There is an AC unit in the rooms which because of the power outages beeped all day and night (worse during the day) because they don't have a back up generator. Thankfully, my partner is an electrician so he was able to deal with it. -We had a weird scenario one evening when we went out for dinner then came back to find our door was ajar and our room fan was missing. Nothing else was missing but it was strange since we'd locked the door when we left. I went to reception the next day to ask about it and they said they had taken the fan. They didn't say why and seemed unfazed about why I was concerned. I was told they would return it imminently yet we had to go back to reception two or three more times before we got it back. Very strange behaviour. -Kinazi Upepo's airport taxi rate is US$60 one way which is more than double the (already overhyped) tourist rate.

-Kinazi Upepo is a beautiful place to stay. I've know Zanzibar fairly well from previous trips and the location of Kinazi Upepo is the best in Paje. Everything is close by, it is an unbeatable location. -I think we also had the best located beach hut (hut number 3).

Beautiful place with lots of vegetation located right on the beach. Good breakfast. Nice staff. A lot of options to lounge under shade. Hot water, AC, mosquito net. Possible to kite right in front of the hotel.
