This property is wonderful, the best we have stayed in on our tour on Zanzibar. The location is stunning, watching the sea come in and out, jumping straight into the sea from the hotel was wonderful. It’s peaceful but has plenty to keep a family entertained. The food was delicious as were the cocktails. Don’t hesitate, book it!

Lala Land Lodge was an unforgettable experience. Our 8-year-old summed it up perfectly one morning at breakfast, reflecting out of the blue: “They really take good care of you here—if you want to swim, there’s a great pool; if you’re hungry, the food is delicious; if you’re tired, the beds are comfy.” We couldn’t agree more. The lodge with a garden view was absolutely fantastic—beautifully designed with natural materials, fresh flowers every day, and a view of the lush garden. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the coconut octopus salad was outstanding. The owners and staff treat you like family, and that’s exactly how you feel staying there. They also arranged excellent taxi service for us—our driver, Amor, was fantastic. If we return to Zanzibar, we will definitely stay here again, perhaps combining it with another place on the east coast to enjoy the sandy beaches. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and well taken care of at your amazing little spot by the ocean.

Everything was perfect!

Outstanding hospitality, unique touches to the bungalows, and great staff! It’s not your any other touristy/commercial resort, it has a character that is hard to find nowadays and we haven’t experienced in many places. We didn’t want to leave!!

The ocean room is dreamy, staff fantastic. So peaceful. Special place! The bed is 5 star comfort, the room and bathroom are much bigger than expected. Frida has a wonderful massage hut overlooking the ocean where we had outstanding massages. The food was fresh and delicious. We had rain one evening and had dinner served on our balcony at sunset at no additional charge. The tides make for a unique experience, one moment you swimming right from the hotel steps, next you are walking kilometres to explore the next beach/restaurant. Absolutely fantastic place that we can't wait to come back to. Thanks Lala Land!

Had the loveliest time. We booked a short stay at Kizimkazi to unwind after a few weeks travelling in Africa, our stay at Lala Land Lodge was just what we needed and more. Views are amazing, there is a restaurant on site open all day (everything we had was delicious) .. you don't even have to leave the hotel!

The road to the hotel is a bit bumpy and we advise against rent a car.

It is a beautiful place with gorgeus views and lush garden. Owners and staff were wonderfull and we really loved the place. It is sorrounded by nature and you can hear bush babies at night and admire beautiful yello birds by day. Everyone here is so nice and friendly.

This hotel was beautiful!! It was quiet, clean, and stylish. The food was delicious and menu updated daily. Freda provided an exquisite and affordable massage at your convenience. There was a cute turtle interaction nearby. The lack of beach was a bit frustrating but the pathway to the swimming hole was charming. The prices of simple things like local beers or juice were a bit overpriced but overall, a positive experience. Thanks so much and would love to come back xx

The place is very family-friendly, and the staff are warm and welcoming. We stayed in the bungalow for four nights, and our kids loved every moment. We highly recommend Lala Lala Land, especially for families with young children. P.S. don't forget to get massage from FRIDA. Also order your dinner as soon as you can.

What a beautiful place to absolutely calm down surrounded by the wide ocean with the sound of waves, lots of beautiful trees and flowers and a fresh pool to jump in, jummy food and sleeping in the most comfortable bed in a cozy room. This two nights stay felt like 2 weeks holiday and I would always come back 👍

We absolutely loved everything about Lala Land! The location was perfect, perched on a small cliff with steps leading down into the water. You can swim when the tide is high or enjoy a long walk during low tide. We stayed in the garden view family room, and it was incredibly comfortable. The food was the best we had in Zanzibar—every dish was amazing, but we especially loved the chili chicken. Haji and Howa were the sweetest, most helpful people—Howa even helped us arrange a rental car and a Safari Blue day trip, which turned out to be our favorite excursion in Zanzibar. The owners, Ben and Freida, were also so friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. I loved the intimate feel of the place, with only four rooms, which made it the perfect spot for us to relax away from the crowds.

When the electricity went out (like happens a lot In Zanzibar) the AC also went out.

It is privatly and family run. Simple, very clean and authentic. We stayed for 3 nights, most beautiful sunsets. Breakfast was very good, owners are nice people. My husband had 2 massages with Friday and she is good. Of course this is not fancy resort but we liked it a lot. Close to nature so you see more insects, but Hadji my hero killed for me anything dangerous. We had Sea view bungalow and that has AC the Garden view have not. We also had lunch and dinner there, never had any bad food. I hope that we have the opportunity to come back sometime. They also offer to book for you excursions at a good price.
