The windows have no glass panes so it can get extremely loud during the night with the tourists coming and going. There is no wifi in the rooms but in the reception area.

The cleanliness could be improved, especially in the toilette. Also, the rooms can be quite noisy at night, as they don’t have proper windows but only mosquito nets, which let in sound from outside.

The location is excellent, just a few steps from the beach and close to everything you need. It's perfect if you're looking for a relaxing seaside stay. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, always available and ready to help with a smile — they really made us feel at home.

We really enjoyed our stay at the guest house. The food was great and the staff were exceptional. We really felt at home. Decided to extend our stay with an extra night. Will definitely stay here again.

I think it would be nice if the restaurant served a wider variety of beverages.

I loved the fact that Papaya Guesthouse is close to the beach, just about 2 min walk. I enjoyed the hospitality by the hosts and the staff. The place has a friendly atmosphere and the meals are delicious. The breakfast was well prepared and fresh - loved the fruits too! I also felt very safe all the time.

Sadly, they couldnt provide an earlier breakfast as we had travels though they did offer hot tea/coffee which was an appreciated effort.

No fridge. However the friendly staff let me put water into the fridge in the kitchen (small bottle ok). No AC. However a big fan helped and was much appreciated.

Good location, close to the beach and all important shops. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast appreciated, loved the fruits. The kitchen prepared different other things like pancakes and omelets daily as well for breakfast. Thank you Dimitri for a nice stay!

We felt comfortable and at home at this lovely, humble guest house. We had some issues with our room the first night, which were resolved quickly with a lot of empathy and care. We even got a very nice dinner as an apology. The staff and owner are amazing!

Better mosquito nets - I got bitten a lot and would have liked the protection of a net that meet the floor comfortably and didn't have holes.

Value for money - you get what you pay for. I was worried having looked at reviews, but found it clean and acceptable.

The staff (Mohammad and Ali) were excellent in all aspects! Having breakfast every morning with fresh fruit (+eggs, donuts/pancakes etc) was a real luxury! Could consider having filter coffee and not just instant coffee available at breakfast. Friday nights can get quite load due to location (not the hotel’s fault).

The owners usually linger about all day and seemed rather unfriendly so much so that the “hello” on our last day surprised us. Pictures are either very old or very well edited. We were VERY satisfied with our stay but the pictures do paint a better picture. There is building works right opposite which can start at 8am and finish late. Okay if you are out and about all day but unrelaxing during the day or even at breakfast.

Overall we had a great stay thanks to the hospitality of Mohammed. His caring, friendly nature made all the difference and nothing we asked was ever too much. The location is great, only a short walk away from the beach!
