Location great. Walk along beach to busier parts . Hammocks and gardens right close to beach give a very nice relaxing feel. Great for hammock / sea view reading, relaxing , photos etc.. Staff lovely and friendly . Lovely gardens and plants etc.

Breakfast needs work. Small kettle for hot drinks which takes ages to boil like a travel kettle. Instant coffee !! Not what you want at a quality hotel. Strange breakfast selection which you kind of make the most of , then when half way through they ask if you want an omelette ? Why not ask at the start when being seated ? Rooms need maintenance , ie ours and neighbours doors broken and wouldn’t lock. Maintenance came out to bodge them again. Ate in the evening once which was expensive compared to other places. Glad we were only bed and breakfast as would have been really bored eating here morning and evenings. Maybe we paid over the odds as booked at short notice ?! Oh yes, no place to wash feet after beach so you walk sand back into accommodation which made it very dirty. Cleaners must be working overtime with all the sand in rooms. Easy fix required.

Location was perfect for relaxing and not in the chaos noose and partying of the main Nungwi beach area. Staff are lovely. Clean. Beautiful. Breakfast isnt bad at all. Helpful at every step. Ocean is stunning. Beautiful gardens and loungers and pool is great. Thankful for the generator during power outages.

The beds are not really comfortable. As travellers from South Africa the restaurant prices are too expensive. Aimed at European and American travellers. But the whole of Nungwi is expensive and charging in dollars. We visited during their ‘winter’ when they were busy with construction and maintenance, which is not ideal but a normal thing to have to do. The notices and timelines around the maintenance could be shared and pit up in advance for some change and expectation management.

Very clean

Poor quality of the food and service was limited e.g. shower didn’t work properly and they didn’t fix it. They did fix the door that didn’t lock, but would have been nice if they fixed that before our stay.

The staff is very nice. We arrived early in the morning, around 5AM. Normally the check in is at 1PM but the staff was very helpful and the room was ready at 8AM. The resort is nice and peaceful.

The pool was not working for the whole stay (3 days) it was green in colour and was being fixed. We were not informed about this when we booked or compensated in any way. The area of the pool was not well maintained, with broken shower and untidy areas. Wifi is very very slow, took me 20 minutes to see a 4 minute video.

The room was large the bed very comfortable, and the AC worked perfectly. The sea view from the balcony through the trees in the garden was super. And the staff were very helpful.

The hotel prefers that you take half or full board and the variety reflects that. Contrary to other review they do serve alcohol, but stick to the beer as the red wine was undrinkable to me!

Everything! It is the perfect location, beautiful beach, nice restaurant and the staff are amazing!

What I liked most was that the area was closed and strangers didn't interfere or disturb I also liked the staff, kind people who are always ready to help with a smile. Clean and comfortable rooms. I would be happy to come back again.

Great resort! Such a beautiful place! The staff was next level amazing! Such sweethearts, super friendly and caring! The food was also really delicious. Would definetly recommend.

Upon checking in to Tanzanite Beach Resort (Unsure if this place deserves the title of resort) we were welcomed by Ester who showed us to our room. It was much smaller than what we’d seen in the photos. But a room nonetheless. Our plan was to explore during the days here anyway. However we realised that the lock on our door was broken. They first said we could go and it would be fixed when we were back. We didn’t want to leave our valuables. So we started to wait. The lock was changed in about 2,5 hours. However this time we couldn’t lock the room from the inside. When we finally spoke to management, I suggested that they should have changed our room to begin and not wasted an entire day with this matter. Since it was too late in the day for us to go anywhere at that point. Plus we hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast. The second room they put us in (I’m guessing was cleaned in a rush.) smelled of toxins not meant for human consumption. We had to air the room and actually wipe the floors with a towel (there is zero exaggeration here). They offered us some fries and a juice to make up for lunch. Dinner was okay. The chef came to our table to ask after the food. What was not okay however is that even water is not included with the meal. Honest opinion, I wouldn’t stay here if you paid me money. There are much nicer “resorts” in Matemwe or Nungwi.

If you are looking for realxing holiday is the best place..5 mins driving to Nungwi main beach and 10 mins driving to kendwa beach, but still Front of the beach, but make sure you have your rock shoes because the hotel beach got some rocks... everyone was very friendly especially Esta and paulina at the resturant they did everything to make sure we are having a good time..
