Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Idyllic beach side location. Fantastic good sized pool, amazing sea food in good value restaurant (loved the seafood masala), Paje is an interesting village to walk round. Tide is in for plenty of hours a day to have a swim in sea. Best coffee in Zanzibar.

Ocean view room with loft was spectacular. A family of red colobus monkeys (not tame, but not dangerous) visited us on the balcony each day. Happy hour at the bar was great for a "sundowner" cocktail or two.

United KingdomService in the restaurant was pretty slow ( not sure if it's because I was solo) but not once did a waiter come over to me. I had to call over someone every time and I saw others got served quicker. I also waited over an hour for 1 omelette as they forgot my order, this unfortunately let it down. The room also smelt very damp once I checked in (room 15) was close to the entrance so I could here cars come and go as the window was open that I couldn't get to. The massage I had was amazing by a lovely lady, the location could have felt more private rather then hearing pool noise and there was no music so felt like i was outside with everyone. The rooms could also have a fridge and hairdryer.
Loved staying here, Great location, reception staff were so friendly. I also had an amazing massage ( could be calmer as it's next to the pool) Breakfast was good but unfortunately buffet not the best for Gluten/nut free. Loved that the rooms/hotel worked with locals for decoration and furnishing the place. I would definitely stay here again!

The staff was very friendly! From Elisabeth who made our room nice each day to our regular breakfast waiter. Also the receptionist had a lot of humor and they knew us by name which felt welcoming.

South AfricaBreakfast was a little late if you wanted to go on a day trip. They did put me together a to go bag of fruit though.
Location is incredible - right on the beach! Pool is stunning. Good wifi. Ideal for vegans as one of the few places with a several, delicious options. They spray daily for mosquitoes so they weren't a problem unlike other places. Beds were perfect for me (not too hard that I had read prior).

At the last two days, we got really sick and they helped us all they could and also provide us longer later check out, so we could stay in the room until the taxi picked us up. They have a sentence at Mr. Kahawa "When I like I stay, when I love, I come back" - So until next time, it was a pleasure staying with you.

Mozambiquewe had a water cut in the whole morning of my boyfriend birthday so it was a bad situation we couldn’t shower. staff could be more responsive with this situation. breakfast included is not amazing, and it’s very simple. they could also have day beds at the beach as it was the only thing missing here

The hotel is located next to the beach with ocean view. Breakfasts are very delicious and fresh. In the restaurant there os an option to eat and drink something with ocean view too. Staff cleans rooms twice every day. There are local cosmetics available in the bathroom and still water. Each guest receives beach towels. The staff is very helpful. I recommend this palce in 1000% :)
