Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWhat bothered us sounds a bit silly, but it is how it is: The cutlery looks pretty but it is hard to hold. I know from other guests, that they felt the same way. The chairs in the eating area have very straight backs. And the tables have on two sides boards, that make it hard to fit the legs under the table. tldr: More ordinary cuttlery and more comfortable chairs and tables would add a lot of comfort.
This was my second time there, and I loved it like the first time. The breakfast and dinner were good, when there were few guests. They were excellent, when there were many guests and a buffet was provided to choose from. The staff is friendly and helpful. Everything is extraordinarily clean and organized. The view and the pool and hotel bar are great to relax after safari days.

United KingdomAlthough you are around 15km inside the national park, you have to drive 25 mins to the main road and then around 2 hours to get to murchison falls and 1.5 hours to get to safari game drive location. Not allowed in or out after 7pm due to it getting dark and animals roaming around. We were late arriving back from murchison falls at 7.30pm and park staff were unhappy and said they may not permit us entry to the hotel. After some discussion we were allowed to enter and after 15 minutes driving down the now dark single track we encountered a line elephant on the road - very scary when it began coming towards us and we had to turn off the lights and pray it didn’t charge. Thankfully it made its way into the bush after a couple of very long minutes but was a downright dangerous experience. Not worth the money it charges and would suggest other hotels are better situated for doing national park activities. Having said that, those views from the hotel dining area are utterly spectacular!
Views - outstanding Staff - 5 star Food - 5 star Rooms - 3 star Facilities - 5 star Location - 2 star Breathtaking views and outstanding position for a hotel. Truly was a joy to eat the lovely food whilst looking over the river and seeing the hippos; however, rooms need updating and location leaves a bit to be desired.

United StatesThe hotel's siting alone is worth the visit. Its position overlooking the roaring source of the White Nile is frankly unforgettable, as is the drive through a national park, to get there. The property's social spaces are well-placed; the staff is incredibly accommodating; and the spectacle of watching hippos languish, boar forage, and all manner of Nile critters scamper, is unlike any other place. Lastly, the high level of polish, within the larger Ugandan context (we traveled the entire country, border to border, twice) made it feel extra luxe.

SwedenWhat I didn't like is that you didn't tell me in advance that we need to pay extra money to enter the park. You told me about it the day before we arrived at the park, when I was already in Uganda and didn't have access to the internet and couldn't read the information you sent me. I think that's not right. You should indicate this when a person makes a booking.
To be fair, we have stayed at this place before. Since I liked this place so much, my husband and I decided to stay there again. I would recommend this place to anyone who decides to visit Uganda. First of all, because you will not find more beautiful nature than here. The restaurant offers a huge variety of food, for every taste.
