Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWas what I was looking for for1 night.
If you want to stay near to the airport for some nights it´s fine! - And the price is more or less fair. The hotel is not the newest one and so the room is simple. The provide taxi shuttle to airport approx. 10 min. 10 USD/35.000 UGS. And there is direct outside the hotel an beach club, with paid food and drinks, and direct access to lake Victoria. As hotel guest you have free access. Extremly friendly staff. - As well I go a late check out (with 3 hours extension) without any additional payment! My decision to stay here for one night, was because late flight and late check out. I want to to get fresh to the airport and in-time. - Depending on the traffic situation from Kampala to Entebbe time can be critical, often in the afternoon/evening you can easily get into a traffic jam of 1 or even 2 hours!

NetherlandsBecause it was low season the restaurant was not functioning. My suggestion was to just eat out but the staff insisted that we had dinner at their place. Eventually it took over 2 hours while they kept saying that the food was almost there. It would’ve been better to just go somewhere else. The hotel is very central so there are plenty of other options to go for dinner.

UgandaLack of air conditioning. Shower room tiles not fitted we'll, water accumulates on the flow while shower and takes a whole to seep. Lack of mesh at the balcony when open, lake flies invade the room. The platform reading is poor, since the chair is lower than the table platform makes on uncomfortable while working on laptop
Spacious room considering the price. Good location close to the airport, thus waking up at pleasure. Caring and hospital staff

UgandaMy morning shower did not have any hot water. That was my only gripe.
The breakfast was a great selection of traditional and western cuisine. The chef provided eggs on demand in any style you could wish for. The service was prompt and the staff were inviting and responsive to any requests. Overall excellent! My chalet was comfortable and well set up with a fridge, A/C and an outdoor table and chairs set on my veranda. The reception staff were friendly and professional in handling our booking and our check-in. I have satyed in this hotel three times previously and I can highly recommend them. Being right on the water's edge is also a plus.

United StatesThere was a teen age girl in the lobby area of the hotel, very, very loud and inconsiderate. When staff asked her to be polite to guests present (which they did very politely), she responded with, "I don't care about them, this is my aunty's Hotel." The desk worker apologized to us, but it was apparent there wasn't much more he could do. We took our conversation elsewhere than in the sitting lobby area. Other than that, there are no issues. Even if it is a family member, it doesn't make good for them not to care about the guest at a facility. She was not directly rude to anyone though. I will stay again my next visit.
As was my last stay at hotel, staff was amazing. Rooms are as comfortable as they can be for the country in there. Very accommodating to give what's asked of.

UgandaWhilst this hotel is close to the airport and ideal for travellers, this hotel is not fit for purpose. We had pre-booked 2 double rooms 1 week in advance for a 1 night stay prior to our flight. We arrived on the day only to find that the rooms 'prepared' for us were diabolical! 1 room didn't have any basic facilities (no kettle, cup, glass, drinking water, etc); the other room was dirty with a bad smell, it even had cockroaches - giant ones with wings. One of them flew from the floor to the mosquito net right in front of us, we run out of the room. The only member of staff available on site on the day didn't seem to know what to do in terms of finding us alternative rooms. He managed to find us another room that was available, but it too had issues: the main door to the room could not lock and required a key to lock; the bathroom door handle was broken and hanging off the door (see picture); the balcony slide doors couldn't lock and had no key. In addition to the above issues, we were then told that the restaurant was temporarily closed as the chef was offsite, we had to wait for him to arrive before we could order anything. When we eventually ordered, we couldn't pay in dollars as advised on booking.com as the restaurant on site apparently doesn't accept dollars. Also note that this hotel doesn't have or serl any alcohol on site. Even for soft drinks, they only have water. If you use this hotel, bring your own drinks! Very poor customer service!
The location is very close to Entebbe International Airport which is good for travellers.

United StatesI would have to be petty and dig deep to find things to complain about, which I will not do.
The rooms were nice. Had hot water for showering. small amenities in rooms like hot water heater for tea (tea bags & sugar provided), water bottles in room, and TV with satellite. If you are from the USA or Europe looking for that 5 star Hotel, keep in mind that you are in Uganda and for what they can offer this is well worth the money. Don't come here complaining they don't provide the spoiling things you are used to. It is not fair or right to do so. The night staff was exceptional and very helpful. Accommodated the best that they could. You have Coco Beach right next door that you get access to with staying at the hotel as well.

United KingdomI booked a single executive room with aircon. The first room I was put in did not even have a fan (this is the hot season) on complaining I was given a room with a fan only and it was upstairs not on ground level as advertised. The mattress was so thin it was like lying on a plank of wood. There were no towels in the room and reception did not answer the phone. When I checked out I was still charged the full price of the executive single even though I had a much cheaper room.
The hotel is close to the airport and on a previous occasion we had a good stay.

United KingdomNo bar at this hotel to serve alcohol (for religious reasons, apparently) and even their choice of soft drinks was abysmal! Bring your own alcohol/drinks and save yourselves the shock and disappointment! There was a room with a squeaky front door each time it was opened. Finally, it beggers belief that the bathrooms in this hotel are wet-floors! This is a huge hazard to the guests and if anyone was to slip and fall on the wet floor, it would not be financially viable for the hotel with the lawsuits that would follow. This should be changed and have shower cubicles. Ensure to have your mosquito repellant and/or antimalarials at the ready if planning to stay at this hotel; since it is very close to Lake Victoria, there are lots of mosquitoes at this hotel. Otherwise, it is only a 2min drive to the airport from this hotel, especially if you have an early flight. Traffic in Uganda is horrendous!
The location is perfect for connecting to the airport.
