Great for visiting Hearst Castle - the ‘Cottages and Kitchens’ tour was the better of the two tours we have been on. Moonstone Beach is atmospheric and there are some lovely clifftop walks available. Cambria is a delightful little town with a friendly population. This was our third visit there. Disappointingly, the PCH is currently closed between Cambria and Carmel (and has been since 2023) requiring a long and unattractive detour away from the coast. For our particular pleasures, Cambria is a nice quiet spot in which to relax and enjoy good food. We also enjoy playing golf and so Morro Bay and Paso Robles (Paso Robles Golf Club) are within easy driving distance and also feature some nice restaurants. For those who enjoy a longer list of activities, hiking, beach combing, wine tasting, shopping, surfing, are just a few of the many things you can do. It is very relaxing with easily accesible walking areas on a boardwalk near the beach. The beach is not the best for sunning and swimming, due to the area being very rocky. Cambria is a favorite vacation area. This was my first stay at this motel, but it will be a favorite for future stays. The coastline for miles above and below Cambria are spectacular. Don’t miss the elephant seals, Ragged Point and Hearst Castle.Guest review byNITAUnited States - 10.0
Cambria is a place you feel rite at home.
Cambria is a place you feel rite at home. It does not have a tourist vibe. The crowd is on the more elderly side but thats what i do like about it. Its quiet and relaxing. You can walk everywhere if you can handle a few miles. Highly recommend if you want a relaxing getaway.Guest review byAnonymous

We were a bit late in arriving (on a road trip) but the check in staff were still there to greet us on arrival and show us to our rooms and the facilities. Love the happy hour idea and the outdoor seating with fire pits means you get to enjoy a relaxing evening. The rooms were spacious, clean and more than what we needed. The staff were very pleasant and helpful but I would say the room was a little "tired'. There was a huge gas log fire which did not give out any heat at all!
