Ridgecrest is fed by the military base and a chemical plant 26 miles east. To the north, in winter, is Skiing, summer fishing and Mt. Whitney. Just to the west, 50 miles, is Lake Isabella and the Kern River. Other Hot Spots are Kennedy Meadows, and the Sequoia Giant trees.

I visit my daughter ever so often and I’m always looking for a great place to stay and I think I found it now I loved that the people that managed the place were down to earth and accommodating very friendly and you don’t find that everywhere. I will definitely be back to stay at the super eight in Ridgecrest.

Ridgecrest, for a small desert town offers more than expected in dining, coffee options, and a TON of work-out clubs, which is a nice option for me when traveling. I do field work in the nearby desert, occasionally camping, so Ridgecrest is well-situated when the need (for example, of a shower) arises.

Patriots bar is a great place to get a few drinks. Classic burgers in inyokern a few min away have the best burgers in town. There is other restaurants that are good if you dont want burgers for example sushi, thai food, Mexican etc.....

Ridgecrest is a hidden gem along the Owens Valley 395 with plenty of eateries and accommodations. Its about a nine hour drive for us from Tucson, AZ which is just about as far as we like to go in one day. The next day is another 5-6 to our family cabin at Lake Tahoe, Ca. Just a couple miles off the main Highway, Ridgecrest is easily accessible. One of our favorite places for a bite to eat and an ice cold beer is at Schooners, a fun lively sports grill with good food and great service! Located on Norma Street. Ridgecrest will never disappoint!!

Definitely the best thing about this Motel is the included breakfast at Denny's! It's a place to stay if you're passing through, one night and away. Pretty sad... but the staff was friendly both upon arrival late in the evening and upon departure the next morning.

It's a very basic hotel in Ridgecrest. Was clean but with two couples we both found the beds in our rooms to be small and uncomfortable. Other than that it's exactly what it looks like
