Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe room was partially finished but needed a lot of work. There were holes in the walls from unfinished renovations, and my nightstand drawer would never stay closed (further limiting the limited walking space around the bed. The shower didn't have a full door and the European style shower was poorly designed and executed - our bathroom floor was almost perpetually wet.
The location was close to theaters on Broadway, Times Square, Radio City Hall and Rockefeller Center, etc!

United States of AmericaHotel room was tiny and there was no desk for me to work at. I guess it is NYC so that might be the case for a lot of other hotels as well, but that's my only real complaint.
Great location and reasonable price.

United States of AmericaThe room is not a high quality. The window treatment was 6 inches short and two inches allowing light from the Hotel sign. The rug was very warn and bear. The decoration is very out dated and reminded me as staying in a run down cabin.
The location is superb. Right in the middle of Broadway. The front desk was very helpful. It was a good thing we did not pay a high price for the room.

United States of AmericaThe shower was extremely complicated to use! I’m not kidding, making it work properly with the right water temperature was close to impossible. It felt like breaking into a safe rather than taking a shower. Additionally there wasn’t enough coverage to keep water from splashing all over the bathroom. In general, I felt like rooms were finished nicely, but it wasn’t really a high standard hotel. There was only one elevator, so sometimes it would take a while to get to your room or downstairs. There was no view and I mean it! You could only see a concrete wall from your window.
Location is great! If you want to be close to Broadway or Times Square, that’s definitely a place for you. It’s a very crowded area, so take that into consideration.

EstoniaNo natural light as the room was facing a wall. The elevator in hotel needs some renovation, it was extremely slow.
Room was clean, comfortable and renovated recently. Despite small size of the room and bathroom, the layout was designed well.

United States of AmericaI know rooms in the city are small but this was a closet not a room. And we were right over the restaurant (with a child) and the music sounded like it was playing through a loud speaker in our room. Earplugs were provided but we couldn’t use them because they fell out of my daughter’s ears and I had to be able to hear the alarm in the mornings. Also found it odd you have to enter through the door for a bar to gain access to the hotel, no lobby really to speak of just a desk and an elevator. Photo in review was taken from hallway so room looks bigger then it was 😂 if you have laughable more then a couple carry ins, there won’t be any room for it.
Staff was polite and Hotel did keep our luggage for us so we could explore the city before/after check in/out. Close to Times Square and Subway station, never felt unsafe.

United States of AmericaMaybe it was an oversight on my part, but during the booking it seemed to me that breakfast was included in the price, but this was not the case.
I really liked the location of the hotel a stone's throw from everything ,the quality of the food in the pub below for both breakfast and dinner.

United States of AmericaThe approach to the hotel can be off putting due to the construction and shared entrance with a restaurant. My wife was a little concerned about the small elevator size, but everything worked out.
The room and hotel location met my expectations. It was clean and it was nice to have the luggage storage option.

SingaporeI was first checked into a room that smelled of smoke, at the back of the building, probably because there is a steak/smoke house nearby (not sure why). I asked to be changed to a room at the front and the staff was accommodating which I appreciated! The new room's window was just near the hotel sign and the curtains are too short. Might be a problem if you don't have a sleeping mask or are bothered by the light.
The furnishings seem new for the most part, the room was clean (though on the smaller side) and the bed was comfortable. It was overall a positive experience. It is right on Broadway so for visiting it is great! Most things are within walking distance, restaurants, attractions, etc. The staff was accommodating.

United States of AmericaFront desk attendant was just talking on the phone each time we came in. The restaurant attached "Garveys" was horrible. The service was abrupt and rude. The person who brought out our food didn't understand a single word we said. We asked for food without coleslaw on it and it was on it basically ruining the food. The club sandwich was dry and no mayo. I was supposed to have gotten a side of gravy and pickle chips and didn't get it and the waiter couldn't understand us saying we didn't get our entire offer.

BrazilWe had a great stay. From the moment we arrived to check in. We arrived before the scheduled time and could only check in after a few hours. The Shocard attendants let us store our bags there while we walked around the city until check-in time. As soon as we entered the room, we saw that it was just like the photos, small, but very cozy. Everything very clean and tidy. We had a problem with the air conditioning in the first room, but as soon as we reported the problem, they immediately sent a technician to resolve it. Unfortunately the air would need maintenance, so we had to change rooms. The new room was great, no problems at all. Overall, the shocard is great, just a little small, but for accommodating two people it's a good space. The best thing I have to say is the location, close to Times Square, there was a Target (market) close to it, several metro entrances. Well, in general, I have nothing but praise for Shocard.
