Bad sound proofing. We heard our neighbors quite well even though they were not shouting.

Hotel felt dated. Room was super small, bathroom was tiny, closet was not really a closet. I guess we should have paid more attention to the actual size of the room when we booked.

Location was good. Staff was super attentive. Beds were comfy.

Advertised pastries and coffee in the morning but it was just coffee.

The bed was incredibly comfortable. Maybe the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Location was perfect.

The room itself did not match the price. The design of the room felt inconsistent with the elegant style of the rest of the hotel. On top of that, besides the high room rate, you also have to pay an absurd extra fee.

I really liked the bathroom, especially the bathtub. The hotel has a beautiful aesthetic overall.

I think this is quite pricy for what you get, as there are no extra services/breakfast and every single thing has an extra charge. But I guess that’s how it is in the US anyway

I booked this property through booking. I found the original pricing for the property competitive. Once I booked I got an email from Sonesta about a mandatory 30 dollar per night fee. That would add another 90 dollars for a three night stay. At this point, I could have cancelled the booking but I already spent an hour searching for rooms and I didn’t want to restart the process. I really think Booking should have included it in the original fee. Just in case you wondered, the 30 dollar fee gets u 2 bottles of water daily, coffee and scones, the use of the internet and $10 daily credit at their expensive restaurant. There is hardly anything at the restaurant for $10, it is another way to get u in the restaurant . One last thing, you will also be greeted with a $300 hold on your credit card for incidentals. They will release this after checking out.

The room had everything that it needed. Everything worked. Beds were very comfortable. the staff was friendly and the property seemed very clean.

Breakfast menu was pretty limiting especially for those that have food allergies or intolerances.

The location to downtown and some of the more touristy things to do in Chicago. The room was comfy but a but small, bit overall it was a good experience.

The staff is very friendly. The location is good, suitable for someone who doesn’t want to stay too close to the hustle and bustle but still has access to the central tourism spots within 15 minutes’ walk. It’s next to the Palace Theatre, so don’t miss the chance to watch a show at night. Most importantly, if you want to explore Art Deco, this is the hotel you should stay at as it’s one of Chicago's representative Art Deco buildings!

Walls were thin, and we seemed to be next to a staff room so we could hear through the walls from early hours.

Great location in Chicago Loop for walking to most parts of Chicago city. Good sized room, clean presentation. Bar/restaurant offered a good choice of food.

Between the hours of 10-11AM, avoid the elevators at all costs! Wow, I've never waited so long in my life to get onto an elevator. Also I've come to find that every hotel in Chicago is way too overpriced, complete money grab.

The hotel is nice, staff is nice, wifi works great, walking distance to some tourist attractions, restaurants and bars. AC worked, bedroom itself was clean and spacious. Overall great experience, just your basic hotel.
